Boyfriend told me a white girl shouldn't be skinny: Does a skinny body only look good on Asian people?

Question

My weight is pretty average, maybe even a little less than average. In my opinion being skinny just suits my bodyframe a lot better and if I gain weight, it's always in the wrong places.

My ideal bodytype would look like this:

I told my boyfriend that I wanted to loose some weight and he said: A skinny bidy just looks disgustig but it's something else when the person is Asian.

He then showed me a picture a picture if what he deems as the perfect body for women:

He doesn't understand that:
1. Not everybody stores fat the same way
2. Not everybody feels comfortable in such a bodyshape
3. Not everybody I happy just because they constantly give into their cravings

Every body is perfect in their own way. You shouldn’t depend on other peoples opinions on your body but yours. Your partner should not mind how your body is shaped, he should accept the way your body shape is as the way you want it. From what i’m understanding, he just has a body type but that doesn’t mean you should also have it that way. (this is a small message to him: stop giving her a different perspective of the way her body should look. Let her know that you do love her body the way it is..)

Different body types suit to different amount of weight. I prefer healthy weight rather than overweight girl shown by your boyfriend. Skinny body isn't for Asians only. That's a weird thinking.

That is not your photo. Since you are a big girl and many pounds overweight, he was just being nice. Most fashion models are white. To become a "supermodel", or even to be a "fashion model", you need the following when you start:
1. Be between 15-19 years old.
2. Be between 5'9" and 6' tall.
3. Be thin. Really, really thin. Something like 105-115 pounds.
4. Don't have especially large breasts (34C is generally the upper bound of acceptable), lots of stretch marks, tattoos, piercings or highly tanned skin. Dark skin is fine, lots of tan is not fine.
5. Be beautiful. Not necessarily pretty, but beautiful.
