My youngest brother gyms obsessively and I think its hurting him mentally. What should I do?

For awhile now he's been a bit different , he hardly ever goes out anymore and I don't think he has many friends since finishing high school. he trains at home pretty much everyday for hours I think everyday and even trains when he's injured and will just train a different part he says

I told him he should go to the gym at least its safer and to make some new friends there but he's reluctant because he says he's trying to push through a plateau all on his own.

I've asked why he's doing it. for a girl or something? he said he doesn't care about girls
training for something in particular? said something like strength is my ultimate goal so ill never be that weak ever again
how much longer are you doing this? he didn't really answer though.
are you using anything like steroids etc? said no I wouldn't risk that or cheat that easily to get ahead

geez so I dunno what to do I mean it can't be healthy to overdo it, plus he doesn't really eat right he's pretty lean and muscular now and I think he should stop. I think he's gotten into an unhealthy habit with music, as he will gym as soon as he hears a particular song and will listen to it repeatedly

any advice?
