Everytime I get on my cycle my emotions are a roller coaster and I get depressed. It never fails! I’m going on 20 and still can’t handle my emotions on my cycle. It doesn’t matter how good I’ve been doing, or how happy I’ve been, as soon as my cycle hits I get so depressed. How do I handle this? It really messes with me and with school and work. :( does any other females have this problem?
I totally understand where you're coming from. I've definitely had my fair share of ups and downs during my monthly cycle. One thing that really helps me is setting aside some time for self-care. Whether it's a relaxing bath or a yoga class, taking some time to focus on myself and my mental health really makes a difference.
Another tip is to try and stay active, even if you don't feel like it. Going for a walk or doing some light exercise can really help boost your mood and energy levels. And don't be afraid to reach out to friends or family for support, they can be a great source of comfort and encouragement.
And don't worry, you're definitely not alone in this. Many women experience similar emotions during their monthly cycle, so don't be afraid to talk to your doctor or a therapist about it. They can offer helpful advice and support.

I used to, I have an IUD now and it stopped it 100% for me. I get some light cramps a little less depressed for a couple of days, but it isn't so bad.
I used to try and stay busy, so I could put on my happy fake face... to push through it, now I don't have to.
What Girls Said
You may want to consider using contraception. Hormones are probably responsible for the depression. Contraception regulates your hormones so you wouldn't experience significant shifts in mood. Talk to your gynaecologist.
