Why does women’s health have so little research and care?

For example, I have had doctors tell me the pill won’t make you gain weight. Yet it is a well known side effect among many people who have shared their experience online.
I hear so many stories of women’s medical concerns and pain being dismissed because they’re “being dramatic”.
IUD placement- so painful, some say, they don’t understand why it isn’t done under anesthesia. For the most part, patients are just told to take Tylenol.
Even today, we still don’t fully understand female physiology. But I don’t understand why the medical field is so dismissive of all this?

Why do people still believe the myth that there is more medical research done on men's health than women's when the opposite is true?

In almost every category there is more female-focused funding than male-focused spending, with the totals more than two to one in favor of females ($4.5 billion to $1.5 billion).

Once you realize the health system has nothing to do with health and you understand where the word pharmacy (pharmakeia) comes from. It will all makes sense.
