Falling through the cracks in healthcare. Doctors and alternatives what would you do if?

Anonymous

Many years ago my family doctor moved out of the country and someone took over his patients. I did not know this at the time, but this GP has lawsuits open against them and they are a really bad and neglectful doctor... misdiagnosing, prescribing the wrong drugs, not ordering tests to find the issues which the emergency room doctors recommended i get the GP to do. Health just keeps declining under this doctor.

In my country there is free socialized healthcare. which lowers the quality of care you get. as the saying goes you get what you pay for.

I have tried seeing a naturopath, and they are very busy now and it takes several months just to get in for an appointment. I have also tried taking health into my own hands and did make some improvements in diet. However due to the complexity of multiple issues haven't been able to exercise without it causing some bad condition related episodes, events. Which is another issue to investigate.

I need a good doctor who will take this seriously. I need a doctor who will actually pay attention to the records i keep, symptoms and accounts of events. Who will spend the time to actually look into what's going on with me.

What to do when no GP's or family doctors in your city or state are taking new patients and haven't been for over a year? What do you do when the emergency department refuses to help unless you are in critical condition, literally on the border of life and death?

Feeling hopeless and defeated, i hope someone knows of something i don't, and is willing to share.
