Hi all! Soooooo I’ve been getting a multitude of dizzy spells for a year now, some worse than others, and my vertigo increased drastically. Doctor can’t figure it out and said it’s just my anxiety 🙄 This morning I woke up dizzy while laying flat in bed and can’t shake the dizziness at all even now that I’m up and about at work. When I move at all or look up from whatever I’m working on, I feel completely unbalanced and like I’m going to fall over (even when sitting still). My second job I’ll be working at this evening is all on my feet and my boss doesn’t like it when I sit… I don't know what to do! Any suggestions? Should I just ignore it and believe it’s “all in my head?”
If you have been experiencing dizzy spells and vertigo for a year, it is important to take them seriously and not ignore them. While anxiety can be a cause of dizziness, there are many other potential causes that should be investigated by a healthcare provider. Here are some steps you can take:
1. See a healthcare provider: If you haven't already, make an appointment with a healthcare provider to get a proper diagnosis. They may refer you to a specialist such as a neurologist or an ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor.
2. Keep a symptom diary: Keep track of when you experience dizziness, how long it lasts, and any other symptoms you may be experiencing. This can help your healthcare provider identify patterns and potential triggers.
3. Avoid triggers: If you notice that certain activities or environments trigger your dizziness, try to avoid them if possible.
4. Take care of yourself: Stay hydrated, get enough sleep, and try to manage stress as best you can. These factors can all impact your overall health and wellbeing, and may contribute to your dizziness.
5. Follow your healthcare provider's recommendations: Your healthcare provider may recommend medication, vestibular rehabilitation therapy, or other treatments to help manage your symptoms. It is important to follow their recommendations and attend all follow-up appointments.
Remember that dizziness and vertigo can be caused by a variety of factors, and it may take time to identify the underlying cause. Don't give up on finding a solution, and continue to advocate for yourself until you get the care you need.

Are you drinking enough fluids? If you start getting dizzy when you move around, it might mean you have an electrolyte deficiency. Even if you drink water, it might not be enough. You also need fluids with sodium, calcium, potassium, and magnesium.
A doctor won't find a problem like this unless they have a reason to look for it, which usually they don't, unless you go in and specify that you have flu symptoms or something similar.
I would say it's probably not in your head because it's affecting your daily activities.

I was gonna say low bood sugar, but if your doctor can't figure it out, I certainly can't.
I definitely wouldn't ignore it thoughIt's probably a very dangerous health issue. Or a lack of circulation or proper nutrition. Doctors don't help unless the can make money off of you.
