Whenever I see it I tell myself why am I using the treadmill, I just need to go up hill running
What about you, do you prefer to exercise indoors or outdoors?
both have their merits.
I would say there is nothing like the great outdoors.
It is more realistic than a computer program, the greater chances of getting skin cancer, but depending on where you live the smog kind of makes that a push, being chased and or bitten by dogs or homeless people, almost being hit by inattentive drivers, snapping an ankle or knee in a pothole are all just fun things you cannot get on a treadmill.
I would say mix it up and see if actually being outside makes you work harder, running into a headwind for instance.
ππ
definitely outdoors...
but, my exercise are sports, so that makes more sense...
however, I do like indoor sports as well, sometimes
I'm a runner, and I love the thrill of exploring new routes. I hit the gym rarely (only when the weather doesn't let me freely run, so I take dance classes) because it's boring. The treadmill is the most boring thing I have ever seen...
There is nothing better than sun, wind, and even rain on my face. The birds singing in the woods, waves on the shore... the uneven path under my shoes...
Only outdoors for me...
Both, depends on the weather and my mood.

Always outdoor for cardio if the weather permits. I think machines like ellipticals and treadmills don't translate as well to the actual motions they're designed to simulate, somewhat similar to how a lot of resistance machines don't tend to engage stabilizers nearly as much as free weights.
I also believe very much in attacking the body from the widest variety of angles for maximum growth and maximum chance to target weaknesses in our body. When you run outdoors and not just on flat ground but on sand, dirt, up and down stairs, up and down hills, etc, you attack your body from more angles than a treadmill.
In today's polluted world very few ones are experiencing such nature surrounded area around house.
That Feel of Fresh natural air in every morning that can just make mind calm & fresh & can give positivity at the start of day. You are lucky if ur house id surrounded by such beautiful nature.
I am lucky where I live. There is an 8 km round trip along a sea front promenade. Onlt 50 metres away from where we live. Great way to have an early morning run.
Thatβs great
I love it. Really missed it when I lived in Netherlands for a while.
Using treamills, in a long run, may lead to a bacterial infection which might cause your legs to get amputated.💀💀 At least, that was what my mum's doctor said.
What college did your mother's doctor graduate from?π
I don't know. by the way chances are very low, but seemingly, it is possibleπ€£π€£

Really?π
Outdoors for the 7 months available where I live in the U. S. A brisk walk in November is walking around your car, scraping ice off. December is brushing off heaps of snow, hoping defrost still works. January is a fucking nightmare! -6 to -15 F deep freeze. February isn't that bad, kind of comparable to October but still not suitable for exercise in my opinion.
FML I went to click outdoor and my rescue kitten said indoor and she's faster than me.
I am on the kitten sideπ
What? HOW? It's so boring when you're stuck inside :(
I know, i am outdoor person, but canβt say no to a kittenπ
No that's a good enough argument for me. Especially since this one made sure I didn't die once.
Glad to hear
I enjoy outdoor exercises (running, brisk walking, swimming, cycling, hiking).
Plus, our home gym is partially outdoors with a beautiful view as well.
I have tried treadmill running and outdoor running and I much prefer outdoor running since you are able to get fresh air and you get to feel yourself travel between different environments rather than just being still in one place. It feels more natural to run outdoors in my opinion and more comfortable
California is a beauty.
I like both, but prefer exercising outside - I enjoy the fresh air, sights, nature, and if its a sport.
I Used to Be An Avid Walker even More So Than I Am Now But it Sure Helps in Toning Up And Losing Weight For Anyone. xxoo
The only thing I do outdoors is walking. Everything else is indoors with weights.
When i could run I loved to run outside. Now I usually workout in a gym. I still ride a bike outdoors.
I love the outdoors! Definitely excited for the spring so I can do a lot of kayaking, hiking, and biking.
the view is awesome. Under bad weather conditions you should prefer treadmill but other go out and run
Outdoors definitely. Connect with nature and better views
My main exercise is walking... outdoors.
So nice of him to let her run on the path while he runs in the grass. Good guy!
Oh, you mean the photo
Yeah, thatβs niceπ
I just love outdoors it gives me adrenaline rush
Indoors because my exercise is masturbating 👍🙂. I work up quite a sweat 😉👍
Indoor safer and consistent
