Do you regularly exercise & eat healthy(meaning fruits, veggies, lean red meat etc)?
And do you think being skinny automatically qualifies one as healthy? I'm curious as to why this is such a big misconception
Well I'm not a health nazi, I do some 'bad' things, but I'm probably healthier than most people, because in my experience most people are lazy bastards who spend most of their recreation guzzling 8 pints. The government recommends a minimum of 5x 30 min of moderate exercise a week which gets your heart racing. I bet this is inconceivable to most people. Most people think once they've gotten their weekly class in of some activity, or if they manage to somehow get themselves off their flabby arses and play badminton with you once a month (it can never be consistent), that suddenly means they've done their fulfilment of exercise for a week and they're pretty active.
As for me. Well, it's a mixed bag. All my meals are healthy and balanced, my only vice is that I eat a lot of chocolate! I allow myself an unhealthy meal once or twice a week, simply because I'm not looking to live til I'm a 100...
Last time I timed myself I ran a mile in 6 min 30. I probably do about 4 sessions a week of cardio a week. I play tennis, go jogging, and other things. I also do various other activities that are more of a mental release. I don't work out with weights or anything like that. Not least because it turns me, or anyone who seems to do it, into a smug bastard who suddenly feels the need to inflict his vile half naked body on reluctant men on sites like these.
I wouldn't consider myself to health conscious. I eat what I want but I exercise pretty often. As for the second question absolutely not some people are naturally skinny when it comes to physical activities some bigger people might out perform them. I've seen a 250lbs+ guy run for 3 hours nonstop, I know I can't do that and I'm close to half his weight. I've also seen really skinny people get exhausted within minutes. Their bodies aren't conditioned for hard work. You can be lazy and be skinny as long as you're not eating too much.
I'm fairly health conscious. I shop at an organic grocery store, eat lots of fruits, veggies, lean protein, and whole grains, and try to cut out excess sugar and added chemicals or hydrogenated oils. I also work out five times a week for an hour to and hour and a half at a time, doing cardio, strength training, and stretching.
But there are times when I want a burger and fries or half a pizza, and I don't beat myself up if I have that every once in awhile.
I don't think skinny means healthy. I think taking care of yourself and eating right is healthy. Being overweight isn't healthy though, it causes a lot of risks to your heart as well as other organs but so does being super skinny. If you're in a healthy weight range then that's fine.
Personally I am pretty health conscious 90% of the time.

umm idrc... I eat whatever I feel like eating, and drink whatever I feel like drinking, however I do work out a ton (tennis, football, weight lifting, and MMA)... I'm 5'7 and weight 175 which is pretty heavy but its all muscle (I can deadlift 310x5 3 sets, and bench 210 same reps and sets...) lol I actually wanna gain quite a bit more weight... but all that aside, no, skinny does not equal healthy I gotta friend who is fairly skinny, but has absolutely no muscle (his 50 year old mother is stronger than him) so yeah lol that's all I guess
yeah I consider myself healthy; I don't smoke, I try to avoid fizzy drinks as much as I can, I don't eat fatty foods or sweets late at night, I exercise almost regularly, I rarely eat fast food, I care to read health articles and watch health shows
and no being skinny doesn't necessarily mean that the person is healthy
I don't make a conscious effort to exercise but I don't lead a sedentary lifestyle either and I do eat healthy most of the times so I'd say I'm pretty health conscious.
It's true, skinny doesn't mean healthy. The misconception is probably due to the fact that if you're overweight you're unhealthy so people must assume that health means weighing a normal amount for your height.
I'm not health conscious enough.. I don't drink caffeine, and I try to eat a lot of fruits and stuff over other things but other than that...nothing. I like working out but I usually end up only working out in athletics and not at all on weekends, and I definitely don't watch what I eat or get enough sleep.
Skinny doesn't equal healthy. I'm as skinny as can be but it's because I have a ridiculously high metabolism.
Skinny doesn't automatically mean healthy, they could just have a fast metabolism...I consider myself somewhat healthy...I try to make healthy decisions like snacking on veggies instead of chips, but I do have my weak moments esp. during Christmas and I try to get a good workout in everyday.
relatively health conscious. I exercise pretty much every day. I could have a better diet...but I have decent nutritional habits. being skinny definitely does not qualify one as healthy. there are skinny people out there who get winded from walking up a flight of stairs...definitely not healthy. people just assume that just because you look healthy on the outside, you're also healthy on the inside.
I'm not really a health nut all the way but I do care about my health, I don't drink, I don't smoke, don't eat fatty fast foods, and I exercise several times a week but other than that I'm a normal dude
Aww, I like skinny guys. Not like skinny fat though
Idk..I just like the way they look? Why do some guys like skinny girls?
No I don't eat healthy or exercise much. I do eat a lot of fruit though. And skinny definitely doesn't mean healthy...
pretty health conscious. used to not care, until I dropped my excess weight. xD. and no. some girls are so freaking skinny its so not healthy.
I am very health conscious
