+1 yNo diet pills at all: most contain high doses of caffeine and a bit amphetamine (speed)
Others contain diuretics which will drain water out of the body: either they work on long term and it can damage the kidneys or your body replaces that water asap and that weight you lost is soon replaced.
Some wil combine all three.

i've been stacking ephedrine & caffeine for the past 3 weeks now as I find it more cost effective than picking up a box of thermogenics for $50ish. it does help initially due to the diuretic effects but like with any thermogenic, the effects are going to be very minimal tho(it'll maybe help burn 50-100ish calories each day?). There is a lot of controversy with the EC stack as their are arguments claiming it's hard on your heart, etc. My advice would be to be cautious and read up as much as you can on it if you do decide to try it out.

You're going to damage your heart and make yourself really sick. Worst case, you can kill yourself while taking these with exercise. I don't care if you don't want to hear it, this is something serious.
If you want to go for the effect of not feeling hungry as often, eat more fiber rich foods. They tend to make you feel full longer.10 Reply

+1 yDon't take diet pills, they are only a short time fix. I'm not saying I don't believe in them, but know most of the weight will be gained back as soon as you go off of them. I would recommend Green Tea suppliments, that sh*t will make you full all day.

+1 ynone, they are all bullsh*t and often are actually worse for you.
Best thing to do is eat healthy and exercise. At the very least exercise regularly. Can still eat good yummy food, but exercise at least every other day for like an hour. Cardio is best to lose weight. Walking, Jogging, Running, Jump Rope, Stair Workout, Bike, Swimming, etc.
But don't take the pills, pills are bad and don't do sh*t.322 Reply- +1 y

@update: it's not about "not believing" it's about f***ing scientific fact. Don't ignore facts because you want the wonder drug, the hope, the "belief" about something working or not. F***, you shouldn't place a "belief" in such things. You might as well take placebos (and most of the time you are) -_-
- +1 y
Asker+1 yI've taken diet pills and lost weight so I really couldn't give a rats ass about your scientific facts, and either way your comment is still useless I diet and exercise so telling me to do something I already do is redundant and since I've obviously already started taking diet pills the risks don't matter,so congrats on your xp but this is still useless.

You lost weight.. and did you also eat right during that time? Exercise? Guess what the f*** it was that helped you lose weight. It sure as hell wasn't the pills. You're an idiot if you really want to ignore the f***ing facts. I'll never get why so many people (more women then men tbh) listen to their beliefs and feelings when the facts say otherwise. Hell, you admit you exercise too.. stop exercising and just take the pills, guess what will happen?
Asker+1 yI started trying pills when diet and exercise didn't work ,and you're awful angry about what I'm willing to do with my body. And yes lol I'm an idiot because I don't agree with you .
Asker+1 yAnd I like how I'm an idiot when as soon as you realize someone disagrees with you you lose the ability to create a sentence without using obscenities , oh and I'm guessing you're pretty much a doctor too right? after knowing nothing about me and my weight struggles in just a few senteces you know what makes me lose weight and how my body reacts to things? You are truly a marvelous being either that or arrogant and too ignorant to look behind your own opinions & 'facts'

Do you realize that exercising and eating right the effects won't show themselves for awhile right? I mean, seriously, I bet you weren't seeing results after a week or even a month and figured it wasn't doing it so you took pills while still doing your exercising and eating behaviors and then saw effects and thought it was the pills. How right am I with that? And don't assume you're the only one who doesn't understand weight struggles.
- +1 y
And go talk to your doctor, they will even tell you that pills won't work and will be very unlikely to recommend any to you. Well, unless they are a doctor bought out by the companies pushing said pills.
Asker+1 ylol a week or a month? Try 4 months and I only lost 2lbs and was hitting the gym 4 times a week, you know what you read and I know what I've experienced.
- +1 y
Btw, if you're looking for appetite suppressors, do you drink enough water in the day? Believe it or not what you might be assuming is hunger is actually thirst because your body will require water and doesn't necessarily tell you its thirsty, just that hunger feeling. Which is more a feeling of "you need something atm" and less a "you need food"

4 months, big whoop. No one gets fat in a day or even a few months, it takes years. And it will take a year or so to really see the effects of constant working out too. Seriously, the reason you might not have seen results for awhile is because your body was still dealing with the change and burning off excess energy and started getting into more and more. I'm just trying to help, and the truth is pills don't work.
Asker+1 yEveryone YOU know doesn't get fat in 4 months its very likely for me to gain 40lbs or more in 4 months if I let myself go and just as likely for me to lose 40lbs in 4 months ,you don't know my body like I do, don't pretend to.
- +1 y
well if you do nothing but eat junk food for 4 months, sure, but even then it takes a lot more time to lose it than to gain it and you won't see the changes for awhile. Go to a doctor and ask them yourself :\ you'll see them saying essentially the same thing I am.
Asker+1 yI've spoke to doctors and what you guys are saying sounds lovely ,really it does. But if you've never been overweight and had problems losing weight when you're genuinely trying then as far as I'm concerned you really don't know.
- +1 y
Lol both my brother and I both have known how it is to be overweight and losing it. Hell, my brother when he was a kid went so far as bulimia, at least he stopped that fast. He lost weight by just constantly working out and it took a year+ to truly get the results. As for me, I'm still working it off so, yes, I do know.
Asker+1 yI didn't just say knowing how it felt to be overweight I said to be overweight and give genuine effort to lose it and have problems (pretty much having nothing happen).& I'm very happy for you and your brother.
- +1 y
Well I was just trying to be helpful :\ honestly have you tried drinking some water or low carb drink when you feel hungry? I was kinda shocked at how much that worked to suppress hunger cause it wasn't really hunger, just thirst and my body being stupid making me think it was hunger >.>
Asker+1 yI will try the water thing, thanks for your help :).
- +1 y
np, sorry if I seemed offensive, I'm just very very blunt :P tact is something I lack.
Asker+1 yIt's okay.
+1 yWhat's your specific goal with the 'pills'? 'Weight loss' doesn't cut it. Are you trying to maintain metabolic rate during sustained caloric deficit, mobilize fat pre workout, what?
Asker+1 yI'm mainly looking for appetite suppression.
- +1 y
Really? What are you eating (types of food, calories/day), and how often? How much caffeine do you consume? Oxy-Elite has caffeine by the way, and claims to be a thermogenic. Personally, I have NOT used thermogenics when dieting, beyond a fairly high coffee intake. Do you know what your body temperature is when you wake up? Do you take breaks from the diet?
Asker+1 yNo I don't take my temperature ,As for breaks on the diet not really ,every now and then I'd have something but it wouldn't be an on going thing because it was easier to refuse bad stuff because I wasn't hungry anyway.
- +1 y
The reason I ask about temperature is its a way of seeing if your metabolism is depressed. Thermogenics to boost your metabolism high are not a very wise move, thermogenics to maintain metabolism make more sense.
What are you eating most days?
Asker+1 yWell breakfast is usually a shake and a peice of a bagel and lunch is either a salad or sandwich and dinner is usually some meat and veggies.
- +1 y
I'd cut the bread and any starchy vegetables and add MORE meat. Protein takes longer to digest then anything else. Does your salad have a big pile of chicken on it? I hope so.
Are you getting any dairy? Is the shake a protein shake? How much meat at dinner? If you'd rather use message/chat go ahead btw.
Asker+1 yThe salads do have meat and the shake is protein and I drink skim milk, the amount of meat depends on how hungry I am.
- +1 y
When do you tend to have appetite issues?
Or is it more that its hard to constantly deny foods you want?
Asker+1 yAfter working out ,and mid afternoon.
Ask any fitness guru (who is totally fit and toned) and they will tell you that diet pills are for idiots.

+1 yUltimately, these pills may or may not assist you, but it's going to take hard work and discipline. I would say go into a GNC and talking to the sales representatives for more information.

+1 yThe best diet pill is water.
I mean if you drink enough water, you won't even have room for food. Think about it. Major weight loss right there!00 Reply
