Embarrassed?

So my boyfriend and I, we are a new couple. We haven't told people yet, which I'm fine with. My friends don't really see eye to eye on this guy, because I thought he was being idiotic (and told my friends) when only he was flirting. But anyway I told him that's why I didn't want to tell people yet, because I want to wait till my friends forget or have a different view on him. Also I want to make sure it works, before I go telling people, and then suddenly it doesn't. He agreed to this situation, but wouldn't tell me why. I think he's embarrassed of me. He's very honest, a little too much lol so I asked him and he said kinda.. But then again, I don't know what he's embarrassed about, I'm like an average girl, getting good grades, play an instrument and do two sports and in one its the same sport. Is he afraid that he would lose his personal time with me? or something? I'm just wondering

I would find it embarrassing too if I was him. But really what is the difference, because you clearly are acting like you are embarrassed of him? Your putting him in a very weird situation, and he probably hears a lot of advise from his friends concerning you such as "dude you deserve better" or "dump her". How would you feel if he didn't want to tell anybody he was dating you? That insulting on so many different levels, and you should never have to keep a relationshop annonoums. Your lucky if he sticks around. It sounds like he's getting played, and that's not fair. He probably doesn't want to tell you why he agreed because he doesn't even know why he did. Even if your friends end up liking him, his friends might change their opinion on you in the process.

It sounds like you brought up the idea of keeping your relationship quiet to your boyfriend, and he agreed with it, so how is he embarassed of you? It sounds like you don't want people to know you are with him. Maybe you should evaluate the situation some more or maybe I'm just not understanding the situation enough.
