Have you ever tried spinach smoothies?

I really like the idea of a spinach smoothie that doesn't taste like spinach. Plus the color is always such a pretty green that it cheers you up just to look at it!

Does anyone know of any good recipes for such a smoothie? I've tried a few but none of them really hit the spot.

I LOVE spinach smoothies. I make one every morning! Here's my recipe:

1/2 C Milk (or water)

1/2 C Favorite juice (Pomegranate, Acai, or OJ are great)

1 Banana

Big handful of spinach

1/4 C fat free yogurt (optional but it makes it more creamy)

1/2 Berries (also optional, I put in the frozen berries because then it makes the smoothie cold)

You can't even taste the spinach! And if you put some berries in like blueberries, raspberries or blackberries it turns the smoothie purple instead of green. ^_^ Yum and it's great for you.

Raw. I buy organic too usually. Don't have to because its a little more expensive, but it's always raw. You lose a lot of the nutrients when you cook it.

I've never tried it but I would. I'd imagine milk and a fruit that will compliment it (like oranges) would be good with it as well as ice of course.

Never tried spinach smoothies. I can't imagine liking the taste of spinach in a sweet blend.

Gross. I don't like any vegetables unless they are firm, possibly crunchy.
