Is there such a thing as exercising too much?

This week starts my holiday vacation and I'm planning to work my a** off. I plan on doubling my workout regiment. I'm going to workout 5 days a week twice a day. I'll do body weight exercises during the mornings and hit the gym and do cardio and weights. All workouts are about 1-2 hrs each. I am also dieting.

My friend says that this would be too hard on my body. My friend has a supermodel body and hardly works at maintaining it, I'm fat and hard workout harder than him when I have time (work & college) and get little results. He has never been overweight and has been blessed his entire life, so I don't believe a word he says.

Who is right? Me or my friend?
