I had a skiing accident yesterday. It was really icy and I went over a patch of ice and skidded and my ski got stuck in the snow and twisted around. I tried to get up but it felt like the bones moved together and I fell again. The ski patrol said I might have torn something or sprained it. I think it might be dislocated. I can't bend my knee or walk for an extended period of time and I'm wearing a splint. What could I have done to it? I have a doctor's appointment today but I was wondering now :3
sounds like you might of dislocated your knee but it has gone back into place, the pain is from the strain on the ligaments, chances are you will need to rebuild muscle around the knee after a period of rest an possibly some theotheropy, its not looking good by the sounds of it though, good luck,x

It's very likely to be a damaged (either sprained or torn) medial collateral, medial cruciate, or anterior cruciate ligament. Those are by far the most common leg injuries among skiers.
A dislocation is possible too, but less likely.
