Eat clean! Get rid of all the processed junk and salt and you will start to feel a heck of a lot better, and you will look better too! I have already lost a couple sizes just by cutting out the processed crap and salt.
Salt makes you hold onto water, so getting rid of all the processed stuff (which usually contains a lot of salt) helps to diminish that.
Don't be afraid to start drinking more water too. I replaced juice and some of my milk servings with water. I drink one percent skim milk and maybe do that twice a day.
Eat lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Have some frozen ones on hand to make smoothies and to cook up when the fresh ones aren't available or aren't on sale.
Get some canned beans. These are usually incredibly cheap, but they are a great source of fibre and protein. I mix kidney beans in with whole grain rice and then add veggies. This makes an excellent lunch, especially if you toss some grilled chicken in there too. And it's very filling because of the beans.
The best thing you can do is gradually change your diet. If you do drink pop or eat bad foods on a regular basis, switch one thing out at a time so it's not so drastic. It will stick and you won't find yourself having to work as hard to maintain the healthy eating.
A good diet consists of a variety of foods. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, lean meats like fish and chicken, and low-fat dairy products such as skim milk and greek yogurt. Just have fun mixing and matching healthy foods. The best thing you can do is eat what you like. If you don't like something, don't force yourself to eat it.
Find something else healthy that you like better and eat that.

In general try making half your plate veggies. The more veggies the better. Eat whole grain as well- whole wheat bread, brown rice, quinoi, etc.
Eliminate added sugars and pre-packaged stuff.
Cut out soda and drink water instead.
Combine all this stuff and you will notice a big difference.
you if your looking to gain weight as in muscle lots of carbs, rice, potatoes, pasta etc. if you want to get cut up or get ripped just a high protein diet. notcarbs at all and lots of cardio no more 45 minutes otherwise you will burn muscle, maybe a high carb diet one day a week. take care good luck.
More vegetables, less processed food. If your weight is good, don't worry too much about whether something has fat etc, just eat real food, and if your weight starts going somewhere you don't like, then you can start addressing it.
