My boobs really hurt?

My boobs were hurting yesterday, but they hurt even more today they are really sore. I'm not supposed to get my period for another 2weeks and I am a virgin so I am definitely not pregnant. So why do they hurt? Why would they be hurting?. And I'm 16.

My boobs started growing when I was 12 or 13 and I'm an 8a(30a in American sizes) at the moment

Most likely you're ovulating. Sometimes during this stage your breast's become tender. And, I could be wrong about this because I'm terrible at being a woman- but ovulation can occur around 14 days before AND after your period. Mine are almost always sore before and after... yippee. I don't think I started experiencing this until I was your age also.. so I guess welcome to the club! Lol. Also, make sure you're checking yourself for lumps just in case! Cancer isn't age biased.

Most likely, you are about to have a growth spurt in your boobs. I had a friend who was 16 and a 34B when hers started to get sore, and she had to replace all her bras twice in 6 months and ended up a 34D.
