How popular is lacrosse where you live?

Around here, it's mostly a guy's sport. Most people don't even know we have a girls team. It isn't big enough to be a school sport yet but the boys have at least five teams, and each of them has PLENTY of participants. There are only two girl's teams and hardly enough girls to fill up either team. Most of the time we have to borrow players from our opponents to be able to play.

Just curious what it's like where you live.

Not popular at all. My school doesn't have a boys or a girls team. And no schools in the surrounding area do except for 2. And those 2 schools have to play teams from across the state because no other schools nearby have lacrosse teams.

That kind of how it is here, except none of the schools have a team. It's just a club sport.

Ohh. Well I don't think anyone even plays it as a club sport around here.

Well in high school girls lacrosse was big, not as big as the guys. There definitely was enough players for the team though. Lacrosse was a lot bigger than all the other sports.

We just got a semi-pro team in our area, and the league broke up before they even began playing.

Awwww that's too bad. It's a really great sport. Fun to play and to watch.

the only time I've seen it was on ESPN when they show college games sometimes. Idk, I wasn't able to get into it really haha. not my thing I guess
