You shouldn't really lose any weight considering you're 5'6. Your weight is perfectly fine. Now, if you are looking to tone, then start lifting. If you never really lifted or worked with free weights, you should have someone show you the ropes. Definitely do different variations of situps and crunches. Don't know any? Google it. If you really do want to lose a few more pounds, which you don't really need unless you're lying about your weight, then maybe try insanity 60! It's tough but great for losing weight or toning to have the greatest body you'll ever have!

I think it will make a difference, but maybe not as much as you're thinking. You are already fairly light, so the last 10 pounds will be the hardest. Start with 5 pounds and give yourself a month- that's one pound per week. See how you feel. You may not lose weight and you may just end up toning and gaining muscle.
Its gonna depend on what you weigh and look like now I guess. I mean if you have a lot of weight to lose then yes this should work and you will lose weight. However, if you are already pretty toned up and weigh around what you should weigh then you might not drop any weight but you will still get tone and lose fat.
As long as you burn almost the same amount of calories that you eat you should be fine. Eat everything in moderation. And as soon as you stop doing this "diet" you will most likely gain all that weight back. You have to make a life style change and stick to it.

Yup. I'd say each week you increase the intensity/time just slightly as well so you're body doesn't get used to it and is continuously burning.
However, depending on what your calorie intake is to begin with, you may not want to decrease it that much. I'd say let your total daily intake be 1000-1300 calories so that you don't feel fatigued after working out so hard.Yes ma'am, it should work. However, space out the sit-ups and crunches, cause you'll only overwork the muscles and possibly cause injury. Try doing them the same days as weight lifting.
Start out easy if you need to. You don't want to over work, then become exhausted and fatigued by your routine.Yes, that would work. But the question is not what you do, but that you actually stick to it for long enough to lose the weight you want to lose. Too many people decide they want to lose weight but then go back to their old habits after finding it all too hard.
I mean, it's not rocket science, is it? Just eat less, exercise more. Do that enough and you WILL lose weight.Depends on what your caloric intake is currently. If it is already relatively low then you may not want to reduce it by a full 500.
Umm, curious, why? You sound fine.
