Looking for workout supplements?

Creatine won't help you lose weight (it actually causes some water retention), but it can add to your gains and make your workouts more productive. There's a debate on whether it's best to take it before or after working out. Before makes a lot more sense to me due to its mechanism of action, but if you want, you could split it before and after I guess. I take a basic whey protein also (Gold Standard whey), but for some reason it feels like it gives me a little energy boost, too. Maybe you could try resting after work and eating some carbs, waiting a couple of hours, then hitting the gym once you've had time to absorb them? You can take creatine 30 minutes to an hour before. Sometimes anticipating it and getting psyched up can really help add energy, especially when you're not running on an empty stomach.
I haven't gotten into any other supplements. It's been a while since I've worked out (I need to start again!), but back when I did, I didn't want to use anything I hadn't researched thoroughly.
N.O. Explode for preworkout.. helps get some of that energy back after a 6 to 3 job. As for recovery, I like muscle milk because it's a mix of protein and vitamins AND I can buy it as a premixed drink (tastes better). But since you're looking to cut (and so you probably want your formula to be low calorie), I'd suggest AMP amplified wheybolic extreme. Alternatively, if you got the extra money to spend.. get the "get swole stack"

It has everything. Preworkout + a crap ton of recovery from protein/BCAA, deep sleep pill (for better rest and therefore better recovery in the night) and vitamins.
Snacks/foods that can be used as supplements ---> Beef jerky (it's pretty much all protein, no sugar, no fat), greek yogurt (protein dense + vitamin rich) and your more common picks: PBJ (tasty + healthy) tuna fish (cheap, high quality protein), steak (creatine + protein), chicken, etc..
thanks a lot for the info dude. ill take a look into those things. I just bought Super Pump Max and this is my third day using it. I feel energized and focused but not like I smoked bowls of crack. no crash either. thanks again.
That's caffeine for ya! Most of these preworkout formulas have more than that (bonus material!), but caffeine is the common denominator of all preworkout formulas. Caffeine the performance enhancing drug >:) It might surprise you, but it use to be banned in the Olympics, all the way up to 2004 (since people were sipping their coffees for a competitive edge). So I'm sure super pump max will work just as well as N.O. Explode. I just mentioned the one I know works is all.
The main factor behind recovery formulas is protein, but the extras can add some great benefits (gains that you don't want to miss out on). So whereas you're probably good picking just about any preworkout matrix, you really want to get the best recovery formula since recovery determines your results significantly. I'm not one for eating a variety of foods (I cycle through a select few), so muscle milk vitamins are good for me. You may want more protein or micronutrients depending on your diet.

Well just as the other guys said creatine will work for recovery. However its going to add 5 lbs of water weight only while you are on it. Once you stop talking it you will lose those. Its gonna help you recover faster and as a result you will see greater gains. Its safe for the most part. It gets produced in your body naturally in small amounts. However as with any supplement, use it with caution. It is natural and safe for the most part BUT if you are at all worried or have a history of high blood pressure I would stay away from to much of it. It can cause severe headaches. The good thing is that very few people have a bad reaction to it. I don't really like using anything more then protein after a workout. Seems to work fine.
ya I've been looking for stuff with low amounts of creatine. its good for muscles but I also heard it gives you a little bit of a beer belly factor cause of the water retention. I don't want something that defeats the purpose of ab workouts.
Like the one guy said, creatine, but I've been told that you should kind of "cycle" off of it every few months, so you should look into that.
definitely
The most common taken thing is creatine it boost your performance and helps build muscle. Also its a natural substance that all doctors and nutritionist approve of
For pre-workouts a lot of people suggest Jack3d for that boost of energy, I've taken it great stuff. creatine is good aswell, but I also recommend a protein with a high percentage of whey Isolates that your muscles can Actually Absorb.
Damn no wonder you're so fine.
hahaha :) thanks again
