I met this guy a while back and we flirted quite a bit when we first met. Like, when we were eating dinner, there were six of us at the table, but the two of us would only really look at each other when we talked. He would smile at the table after I said something funny. Stuff like that. Anyway, I had some sweet potato fries for dinner, and I couldn't finish them and so I was letting the people at my table have some. He said he didn't like sweet potato fries. Later, we were talking about how I'm a really picky eater, and I won't really eat anything. He said that he likes everything and I was like, "except sweet potato fries" and as soon as I said that, he looked right at me and took one of my sweet potato fries and ate it all defiantly and smiling. Does this mean anything? Or am I reading too much into it...
Either he was trying to make you laugh because he thinks you are a person deserving of a laugh, or he was trying to make you laugh because he likes you.
It's a win either way!

He might be trying to get you to laugh, or he might be saying that he'd do stuff for you that he doesn't want to (which is a compliment, even if you think it's weird).
