Whey protein shakes....

LOL! you're using only Whey?
First of your diet will be the key for weightloss. just sitting on your ass drinking protein won't do anything because your body can't use it.
the best thing to do is lift weights, as in WEIGHTS. no p****ing out and getting on a mill or jogging with 5 pound dumbbells (if I see you do this prepare for a drop kick to the face).
Get on the freeweight system, because weightlifting not only makes you stronger, but it burns fat as well. MORE fat than cardio.
After lifting a few weeks your muscles will burn a sh*tload of calories thus making you slimmer. (you won't get "bulky" you need to eat a lot of meat and have a large amount of testosterone to do that).
As protien shakes go, 100% whey is bullsh*t, you need something with Whey AND Casein. These two proteins are both found in breast milk, and work best together. (Ever wonder why babies being breast fed grow huge after only a few months?) I recommened Syntha-6 from expirence. its good stuff
blah blah blah
Why are you consuming them at all?
whey protein is not for an 'energy boost'. If you're getting an energy boost its because there's a lot of sugar in it, which is not healthy.
Unless you are doing heavy lifting, I'm not sure why you'd need to supplement whey on top of a healthy diet.
Certainly I wouldn't use shakes instead of meals, only as a supplement if you have especially high protein needs.
i have high protein needs because I don't eat anything else maybe its the banana that gave me the energy boost lol!
Protein shakes are not a great replacement for real food.
Why aren't you eating anything else..? Don't tell me you're self destructive. Normal meals are way cheaper than protein shakes.
oh so very destructive lmao
If you are consuming 1500 calories on top of drinking these shakes, you may gain weight. It all depends on how much you are drinking, the amount of scoops you put in, whether you make it with whole, skim, low fat milk or water.
500 cal per day :| I know I'm stupid...
Well the thing is, protein shakes aren't filing. You're hungry again in like, an hour. They provide no fiber which is why you get so hungry.
Protein shakes are great after a super tough work out but they aren't necessary unless you are a serious athlete and most of us arent.
I would suggest consuming no less than 1200 calories per day, mostly veggies, whole grain, high fiber, fruit, and lean protein. You can eat eggs, nonfat yogurt, cheese, milk, but increase your calories, cut out the shakes.
rubbish
I'm the one going to school to be a Dietitian my dear.
Okay that's great !

Protein shakes are just steaks and sugar in a liquid form. They're nothing but a very poor meal replacement. You're better of eating healthy home cooked meals. The only time I use shakes is after working out, if I can't find a meal inside 45 minutes anywhere else and that's what they are for. Only good supplements are vitamins in my book and you're still better of eating real veggies.
I don't drink protein shakes.
