You had a viral infection, and having been healthy for so long, your immune system wasn't up to handling it easily, that's all. The price we pay for being healthy is that when we DO get sidk, often it's more serious that it would be for someone who frequently has viral infections.

Unless you have an abnormal CBC or have a history of chronic diseases in your family, I wouldn't pursue it any further.
Even healthy people can catch nasty bugs that mess them up for a bit, you should be just fine.
