Somehow, I got a really beautiful girl to date me, but every time I'm around her I completely lose myself.

believe or not, I love dorkiness in a girl. Its super cute in the opposite sex. Stop trying to fight it, dorkiness is actually really funny in good way.
Dorkiness, is because you are really nervous around, and you can't think straight. that will go over time, once you are more comfortable around her.
Also she seems to understand your situation, otherwise she wouldn't want to be with you.

no worries. easier said than done, but try not to fighting with yourself to much, just enjoy her company, and accept the dorkiness that comes with it, stop taking yourself so seriously.

take up mediation, it will change your life, you will be able to understand yourself better, and read other people better. Just 10 minutes a day. And it stop you over thinking, you learn to be in the moment.

Its definitely changed my life. I can almost read people now, and what they are going to say before hand. Its strange.
Don't worry about all this horse shit about trying to keep your mind blank, its not about that, its all about focus your thinking and attention on your breathing. Everything is about breathing.

yes its nothing to with keeping your mind blank, that's impossible to do, its about not being distracted by your thoughts, and focus on your breathing, don't give thoughts your attention. Pretend your thoughs are someone else speaking to you, and you have to ignore them. focus on your breathing.
mediation, is teaching you about focus. and focus is essential for every day life.
The other great benefit about mediation, it makes you ground as a person. You will build an armour when it comes to someone insulting you. Its weird.
