If you are talking just in general, most guys aren't upset at all if a girl knows more about a topic than they do, as long as they aren't insulting about it. No one likes to feel bad about themselves.
If hockey is your passion then you shouldn't hide the fact about yourself, just keep in mind that the guy you are talking to might prefer a different sport, or not like sports at all. Make sure to let it be known you enjoy hockey, but make sure you have other things to talk about as well.

Yes and no. At first glance it's cool because it means fewer to no arguments about "why are you watching that dumb game," but there is a possibility of trouble within the relationship if he feels like he can't attend a game or go watch it with his pals without you.
Typically women like sports about as much as men like shopping - so it can be a getaway.
Obviously I am not a guy...but my friend knows everything there is to know about baseball. She is always getting all the guys around her!! All the time! She is like on their same wave length it's disgusting...and she always gets the cute ones too! So I would say for the most part NO!

I don't think it should but that all depends on the guy. Some guys think it might 'cause they're headstrong and think that men should know sports better than girls. I know plenty of females that know more about sports I am interested in. They don't intimidate me because they do, it makes it easier to talk to them about it.
I love girls that know a lot about sports. Give us a lot to talk about.
