A guy who doesn't like football

Is it weird if a guy doesn't like football? It seems like even a lot of girls are into it and it just makes me feel kinda dumb when I don't really even know what's going on.

It's fine with me- it means I can actually talk to you and get at least part of your attention on Sundays and Mondays. And as an added bonus I don't have to try to be understanding when your fantasy football team doesn't work out as well as you'd hoped.

It's not that I'm against guys who like football- they could be into a lot worse things and it means I get some guaranteed time to myself during football season which is good. There are advantages both ways, so I have to say I don't care either way.

And let's be honest- you're probably passionate about some other sport or video game or something anyway...

eh not really into sports but I do woodworking and messing around with cars, plus I love to be outdoors and traveling. I'm not really the type to just sit around at home all day:)

Ah, so you're more likely to out messing around in the shop building something or dirt biking/snowmobiling. That's cool- the last guy I dated was like that too. My point is that we all have something we LOVE to do that tends to take up our spare time, time your partner sometimes wishes was spent with them instead. I'm guilty of this too- if I'm lost in a book, good luck tearing me away unless it's REALLY important.

Do you think those kinds of things would be something that a lot of girls would like in a guy or would they not really care and be more interested in the fact that he doesn't just sit around and not do anything?

Kind of depends on the girl I suppose. Me- I'm more into active guys who do something with their time, but I know some girls who are totally cool with a guy who just chills and watches movies or whatever.

Of course it isn't weird! Football may not be the sport your interested in. For me, it would be golf. I don't know much about it, yet a lot of guys I know do. To be honest, you not knowing much about football could work in your favor; if a girl that your interested in knows the sport well, you have the opportunity to spend game day with her so she could should you the ropes. Then you get the best of both worlds: spending time with a girl you like and watching sports. A win win in any man's play book.

I wouldn't care... there are some guys who aren't into baseball either. I love baseball, but don't really care about football. It would just make it easier on me if a boyfriend didn't like it either.

It is not so weird that you don't like football. However, do you like any other sports? If you don't then its weird. I don't know why but it just seems instinctual that guys like, play, and watch sports.
