Should I stop contact with this girl?

The other day a girl commented on my status on Facebook. She said have fun and I replied thanks. She then said " Your welcome.. you should hit me up." My girlfriend saw that status because she liked it. Some time later, my girlfriend was talking to me and suddenly she mentioned that girl and said she doesn't like her and things like that and said that she like to flirt with guys. That girl and my girlfriend go to the same church. My girl never said that she doesn't want me to talk with her anymore or anything like that and I honestly don't think that the girl is just being friendly and is not interested in me like that. But I don't feel right talking with her now since my girl said that but at the same time I don't like ignoring anyone. What do you think, would it be disrespecful to my girl if I keep talking to that girl?

define "keep talking". I don't think it's disrespectful to either of them if you keep being polite and answering to that other girl, if she innitiates the convo. if you feel uneasy about tuit all because of your girlfriend, then just don't innitiate contact with that other girl.

i don't think there's anything wrong with you talking to her when she talks to you first. I don't even think initiating conversations yourself every now and then if it's an understandable situation (say you'rer really bored and she's the only one, or the only bored one around) would put you in a bad spot. it doesn't have to mean anything. and as long as that's clear for everyone, that's just fine.

sometimes girls say something subliminal without actually saying it, and they want you to act on it. but if it's something like that, that she's jealous or something, she should just say it. no use being catty about it if she meant it to be that way. well, at least that's what I say.

btw, I think you're a really great boyfriend and person that you care so much about doing the right thing here, not onyl for your girlfriend but for everyone. kudos. thought guys like you don't exist anymore! then again, my picture of men is pretty bad atm...

Maybe your girlfriend thinks, because the other girl is a flirt, that she could loose you. If she told you that and you like your girlfriend, just don't communicate with that other girl. You're not obligated to maintain contact with everyone on Facebook. One thing is being polite, the other to flirt with someone. If that other girl contacts you, explain to her you've a girlfriend and you're not interested in hitting her up or what so ever.
