40 pounds sounds like a lot to me, considering I am 120lbs. I like girls with some meat but I won't care most of the time. I look for girls that aren't considered skinny, but at a good weight. When I go out with girls I like having them eat a lot and I like feeding them and making sure they know I don't care how much they eat. Its just that I like them for who they are most of the time, but you should always try to stay healthy. I've had one-too-many anorexic friends
I'd tel lhim directly that you're concerend about your weight, and don't want to meet for sayy 6 months, when you are slimmer.
Sure he might not wait that long, but that will provide you with an incentive to really get with losing that weight.! And you can tell something about him..is he willing to wait or not?
I put 40 pounds on in a month after the depo shot. I was too skinny for my frame to begin with and after the weight gain I got more attention from men because I gained curves and an ass. I have lost 20 of the 40. No guy thinks I'm fat nor have I had an issue. It also depends on how you carry it. 40 pounds is a lot. You don't have to straight up tell him because maybe he won't care and asking him would make him think about it and it'll most def be what he'll notice first.
Just let him see you. Let him bestow his decision himself without leading him to it. Who knows, maybe he'll dig it.

Forty pounds is a lot to a lot of guys. Most guys are more forgiving in the 10-15 range. You don't have to lose all forty pounds, but if you could lose at least 20lbs you'd be better off in him not having a shock factor. Good job on trying to get healthy. Don't over-do it trying to lose the weight, but you might even mention to him that you're going to the gym in the mornings etc in casual conversation so he knows you're trying.
hon, you shouldn't care about what the guy thinks, if he sees and likes you for who you are that's all that matters! and if he's not into you because of your weight, then that's someone you shouldn't be with, toooo shallow.

40 lbs is a LOT. You are currently trying to lose weight, which is great. If you feel comfortable enough, just tell him that you gained some weight over the holidays and are working on losing it.
When I had my son I went from 140 lbs to almost 220 I've lost all but the last 40 and when I meet a guy I like I tell him I'm not lazy I do have a few extra pounds but I was much much heavier then they don't care so much just be honset with him maybe he will help you loose the weight and be gym buddiesworked for me :-) good luck

40 is a lot. I thought you were gonna say 10 pounds. If he likes you, he likes you. Maybe he'll care or maybe not.
just show up. it's not like you can lose 40 pounds soon. so sooner or later he's going to find out
