Hmm I seem to go through periods of weight loss and weight gain which I know is very unhealthy. Right now I'm going through weight loss and have lost like 25lbs so far. I'm going to keep going until I get thin again. I put on quite a few pounds these last few years. Being tall doesn't help either because you don't notice it as much as you put on weight AND you have to lose more for it to be noticeable.

I have a dream now so I'm going to keep working hard to look as handsome as I used to be. It's very important to me that my outside reflects my inside. Also if I want to see the world head on I need to be confident doing it. I'm very confident in my personality but my physical form has lagged behind the last few years. Anyway I advise everyone to get physical exercise especially cardio because it really helps you get positive mentally. It makes you feel like you have the whole world in the palm of your hand.

Ah I just thought of a part of that William Blake poem:

To see a world in a grain of sand,

And a heaven in a wild flower,

Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,

    And eternity in an hour.

I went from being in shape when I was a little kid, to gaining a lot of weight when I broke my collarbone at 12, and kept it until I was about 15 . . . when I busted my mouth open and had to drink my food out of a straw for a week and that took me down and I kept it off until I got done playing sports when I was 20 and I've kept the same eating habits but don't workout nearly as much as I did when I was in sports and I started to gain weight again. Then a friend of mine started to go into bodybuilding and I ended renting a place with him. I decided to stick to his diet plan since it would be easier for him if both of us had the same diet and I started to work out a little more as well and am back at a respectable weight of 160 for being 5'8 and 22 years old.

I've been struggling with my weight my whole life.

When I was a little kid I was very petitie and tiny. I didn't weigh much for years. Then my grandma started feeding me fatty foods packed with calories and carbs. Every time I came home after I visited her I would throw up. I started gaining weight around 7 years old.

So I was chubby at 7 years - 9. I was normal weight until I was 12. I was chubby again. I lost 25 pounds and then was average weight once again. When I was 13 I had my tonsils removed and I lost a lot of weight, I looked like a skeleton. I was scrawny/average weight from 13-15. I started gaining weight at 15 because of depression. I kept gaining and gaining until I went from 135 to the 150s. People started to make fun of me of course. Then I went to the 160s, then the 170s at age 17. I got to 180 at 17. I lost weight at 17 because of anxiety and went down to the 160s again. I gained it back and at 18 my highest weight was 195. I'm 19 in 2 weeks and I have lost 15 pounds and I'm about 178 now.

Yessss, it's very common to struggle with your body either as a female or a male. I find the reason I'm never happy with my body is because I constantly compare it to other females and pick out small things like . . my thighs are too fat, or my love handles are too big. Which I never got WHY they're called LOVE handles lol. I've tried to lose weight . . . but it never works out. I've just learned to be happy with my body, and love it because it's MY body. & to not look at it as getting skinny, but as getting fit. I'll work out a couple of times a week, and I try to eat healthier . . but of course I still eat junk food & fast food here and there. It's SOUUUUL food lol :)

I have never been overweight, but I got very close last year after being a pizza driver for a year and a half (eating lots of pizza and fast food on the road). I think my max weight was 150 and I'm 5'4". Then I got mysteriously ill and lost 10 pounds in a week. My stomach continued to act up even after I recovered (and still does), so now I'm at a solid 130 pounds.

I can't gain the weight back because my stomach problems keep me from eating anything greasy/fatty, drinking soda/coffee/alcohol, and I can't eat large portions of anything. Lucky me!

I used to struggle with being underweight.

If your kids ever have school problems, do NOT go for Ritalin. I was afraid to talk to everyone at school, became hypersensitive to certain things, and you can eat nothing for a few days and not even realize it. I'm still not quite right in the head.

Now that I'm off those meds and on Sertraline, my appetite is back. I'm of normal weight, and now I'm getting worried I might be getting a bit of a belly :-/

But at least I'm getting muscle mass and was able to reach 6'2".

since I have been saying to f*** with the number on the scale I have been loosing weight! I have found something I am passionate about and I do from sun up to sun down, That has helped keep my mind of food and the scale, not that I don't eat, I just don't think about it so much and then it hits me and I know I gotta eat, but that's another thing I have stocked my kitchen full of healthy food and easy to prepare meals... this all took planning and years to perfect. but I feel like I am finally sane about it all and now the weight has just dropped off and I feel like I have control. I do get depressed at times and lazy and then the weight comes back, but my depression doesn't last too long for it to take a huge toll on my figure... it all about better managing your life and making good choices whenever you can, but yea I'm not perfect:)

I was incredibly thin as a child and young teen. My sisters and cousins used to tease me a lot (in good humour) and I hated it. When I was about 15-16 puberty hit hard and I put on weight and grew boobs. My weight fluctuates a lot now, but I'm generally lean-average.

I don't struggle because I don't try to change it. I've always had a BMI below the healthy range, even when I trained twice a day and could eat a horse. People criticize me but I won't change/can't change. It's natural for my body and I like my body how it is.

Yeah. Having an endomorphic body the off season used to be the end of me. I'd gain a ridiculous amount of weight and it would take forever to lose. It kinda sucks because I take my sport seriously and I have teamates and friends who smoke and drink but are always at a constant weight.

When I was in my late teenage years I was 182 pounds and over the course of 1.5 years I lost all that through exercise and healthy eating and I'm now 115 pounds. I was never insecure when I was fat though and my little brother says to me when I eat cake, "are you feeding the fat person in you"? Its affectionate teasing I suppose. But yeah now I can eat pretty much anything and I don't put on weight. Probably cos I don't eat junk every day lol.

Not really. My trainer says my weight and body fat is pretty much ideal for a guy of my age and build. However, I do have a very tiny bit of a gut that I'm trying to work off.

I've been underweight for 4 years, until I changed my diet this year and started working out a lot. I still have extremely low fat percentage, but I am now normal.

Yeah I was 3 and a half stone until I was 9 then I was 5 stone until I was 13, and since then I've slowly crept to what I am now (10stone) which I maintain as healthy for me and my atheletic needs although I can move halfstone each way in a day

I've been overweight since the 3rd grade. I've finally found a diet and exercise program that works for me and I'm down 35 pounds to 300 in only 2 and a half months, 100 pounds to go to reach my goal.

Yeah. I've been told to gain weight and lose weight twice this year, by two different managers. It's been a long time since my opinion on my weight has had any relevance, and it gets really depressing.
