How do you get rid of it? Stop doing what you were doing to cause it and hope you haven't seriously hurt your back. That's not something to be taken lightly. The way you described it it doesn't sound like sore muscles that you can just shake off and keep going.
If the pain continues for a few days you should get to a doctor or chiropractor. If you aren't careful you could end up with a bad back the rest of your life which is VERY common when people throw out their backs.
What kind of stretches were you doing? You weren't doing straight leg toe touches were you? If you were, DON'T!

Did you even stretch out? If you threw out your back in basic they might just chapter you out depending on the seriousness of your injury. Set a small goal in your workouts and then gradually increase those numbers, you should never hit a workout hard if you've never really into fitness and training on a regular basis. They will not allow you to take medication to "help you out" let alone a muscle relaxer like icy hot, but then again I've heard basic training is practically nothing compared to the yester-years. Definitely watch your diet if you haven't already.

Maybe you're not cut out for the military. Could you carry 45 lbs of equipment through a mountain for 10 hours, after having a bullet through your foot?
It's not a game out there. Military means kill or get killed.
