Training for the military and threw out my back?

JamielovesKU
Ok, So I went to the National Guard because there was a gathering there. And they told us about joining the national guard and the benefits that went along with it. I needed to loose weight to join so I went to the gym and the first thing I did was 20 push ups in one sitting, which didn't bother me a bit. Then I went and walked a mile around the track at the gym and walked around the pool, did some stretches and all. Then I went back to doing another 20 push ups (to train myself) only this time I only did one push up because as soon as I pushed myself up, I felt a nasty pain in my lower back kinda like someone punched my as hard as they could. I couldnt walk for the whole rest of the night, in fact it STILL hurts! I took some Tramadol and a muscle relaxer but it didn't really help. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the pain? Thanks! By the way it happened yesterday, I was fine before I tried doing my last set of push ups.
