Yes, both coping mechanisms are very bad for your health. I'm sure you know that though... Maybe ask your GP to see someone to talk about it. There's no shame in wanting to better your lifestyle! This world sucks at times, once you get the right life tools you'll feel so much better!

I think it's bad. You shouldn't be eating and drinking over loneliness. You are using alcohol and food as an escape. That can lead to addiction.
