—I love “A” because it gave me an excuse to touch my crushes hands 😂 It was either that or wait til Valentines Day to give them a card hint with candy in it haha.

—”B” was awesome as well and i would nearly kill for those seats. Throw people out the way quick 😂

—“C” was annoying. people had a strong grip and it was hard to bust through. They only let go for people they were afraid would break their arm.

—“D” tag was amazing because it was another excuse to touch your crush if you could catch em. Hide n seek lasted too long because i was the best damn hider and people gave up looking so they just left me in hiding. by the way, did anyone play “hide n go get it in the bushes”? Apparently it was a dirty version that i thankfully never played lmao.

—“E” was annoying due to rope burn but i was always on the winning team.

—“F” was annoying because people changed the wording just for the heck of it.

— “G” was amazing like musical chairs because you dance then freeze!

Bonus— There was this one game where if someone rubed the palm of your hand you had to keep your fist bald up until you slapped someones ass. I don't know what the name of that game was but i haaated it. I would never slap a dudes ass so my 6th grade crush would let me rub his hand “to pass it” which i thought was sweet but now that I think of it, it meant he could go slap someones ass 💀 Thankfully it was my little ass he hit most of the time

There was One that my friends and I did that we called pinball or bowling pin or some weird shit. I forgot. But basically one person lies down then like 10 people pile on top of them with all our bodies curved together like one big rubber band ball. Then we’d roll down and around this huge long curvy playground slide. Super fun but everyone ends up on the bottom as we roll. And the ending is brutal since everyone lands on one person. We risked breaking necks/legs/arms

Steve reminded me of something great! Did anyone else used to swing high then jump from the swing, pose and try to land on their feet? Lmao we used to do flips and spiderman poses. Also, Anyone ever stood in front of a moving swing and got knocked tf out 😭

I liked Heads Up, Seven Up because I was slick and would peek at shoes and win all the time😂

We only played Red Rover a couple times, but that was fun trying to body your classmates lmao.

My real favorite game was at recess. Top Gun had just come out, and we’d all get on the swings and see who could swing the highest, and at the high point, we’d pretend we were fighter pilots and be like “I’m hit! Eject! Eject!”, and we’d jump out from the swing and try to land as far away as we could. I swear little kids are made of rubber, lmao, I would snap my shit RIGHT up if I tried that nowadays😂 But I never remember anyone getting hurt. I’d have thought someone would at least sprain an ankle or something. And the teachers just watched it all go down because it was the 80s and they hadn’t started caring about the welfare of children yet, lmfao

PS: reminded me of the old Ahmad song when you mentioned Hide And Go Get It, haha. “We’d stay mad about ten minutes then it’s like back on the bike/To play Hide And Go Get It with the younger hoes by the bungalows”😝

I played all those before except for Red Light Green Light and Heads Up Seven Up. I ever heard of the one in your update.

This question just reminded me of a game called Rag Tag. It was like dodge ball except on bikes. Instead of throwing a ball, it was a tennis ball tied in a cloth. You held the end of the weighted cloth and could swing it around. The idea was to throw it.
Several kids on bikes participated. The person with the rag rode around trying to throw it and hit someone else. I can't remember the rules.

At the time, I think I pictured being in a WWI airplane dogfight and trying to either shoot down an opponent or avoid getting shot down. There was some pretty fancy dodging and weaving.

We played zombie tag where 1 person starts as infected and everyone they tag gets infected and has to tag others. Last person alive wins and is the zombie in the next round.

I selected D. I was a kick ass runner and I was really really good at finding people and the logic for it. Really didn't like musical chairs but it was okay. I was good at tug of war but also not a favorite. The rest I could leave. Particularly red light green light. I dance like an idiot.

All i remember we played at school in Iraq was 7 caps ( you put 7 bottle caps on each other, two teams, one tennis ball. One team hot the 7 caps down, run a way, because the other team has the ball now where they can hit you with it, if they hot you, you are out while the first team must come back and put the 7 caps on top of each other again) can't explain more. And the second game is football ⚽ and from age 14 to 18 i was playing for school's team (i played 3 different schools).

As a kid i was a great runner despite having asthma. Baseball was one of my fave things to play. They didn't have a girls softball team but during PE we played coed with the guys. I was great at batting and running. i suck in the outfield tho. I hasate the thought of getting hit with a ball which is why i hated running from a dodgeball
