So it's Christmas time again..... and that means.... many things... but to me it means movies and TV shows that get you into the Christmas spirit
I always enjoy rewatching these guys and getting into the spirit of Christmas. I have many personal favorites but plenty of new ones too. As I have mentioned before in other posts, There's How the Grinch stole Christmas, Charlie Brown Christmas, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, Home alone, gremlins, Krampus, Muppet's Christmas Carol, Scrooged, Scrooge, a Christmas story, Ernest saves Christmas, Simpsons- chestnuts roasting over an open fire, office Christmas specials, the Santa Clause I am sure me and a certain gagger could go on for hours about it :) but ones that stick out for me some of them I have mentioned before in other posts but
All I want for Christmas
I really love this movie because it captures what the Santa clause did, a real Christmas. Not fake rosey colored glasses ones. It is about a divorced family where the kids try to get them back together. It is a sweet plot that ends well but it shows that family dysfunction happens during the holidays.
If you believe
This is a sweet one about a female scrooge that is visited by her younger self instead of three ghosts. It is I thought fun, clever and witty. and stars
Hayden Panettiere star of series Nashville in a young role
The Snowman
I really love the art and the beautiful peaceful animation of this great classic. It is always a delight to watch. About a boy whose snowman comes to life and brings him across the sky to a magical place.
So Weird: Fountain
Enjoy the video of the whole episode while its still there but... so weird is a great random tv show very corny but special. They focus on the supernatural and this focuses on a supernatural man named nick with the power to grant wishes. Only the main character gets more than she bargained for. It is fun and gets you thinking about spending time with your family.
The Polar Express
This one is special for me because I remember it from being a children's book
Given the pictures were amazing. It still amazed me even more how they took that and transformed it into the movie
On top of that. It has a great message behind it that the book could not spend as much time on but the movie was able to give it a stronger meaning and message
That message was not a simple one to me, it takes the risk of failure and ultimate trust to accept and I believe it can Transend past Santa and into other things in our lives.
Ok so now I pass the buck onto you. I understand there are questions a plenty about favorite Christmas movies and tv shows already but what I am asking is to say 5 Christmas movies and TV shows that are meaningful to you and say briefly why they are important to you. Do this in a mytake format. and pass it along. or take it upon yourself to give yourself the challenge and nominate others. For this first time I nominate
@NickiB
@AmandaYVR
@SydneySentinel
@Jane_anne
@Whatthefluff
Please do a mytake of your 5 favorite Christmas TV shows or Movies and then pass on a challenge to five other gaggers. I hope this is a fun chain and will help everyone to have a fun time.
