We don't live in a high density traffic area so we aren't exposed to that the way people might if they live in a Manhattan apartment building. I like music - whether it's religious music or non religious music. I don't expect people to create props that fuel worship of any faith because literally - a religious person could worship while being both deaf and blind and incapable of taste or touch so props are not needed for that. How reverent a person looks on the outside says nothing.

I come from a large close knit family and my mother and father always made sure that Christmas was special. There was always musician our house and during the holidays it seemed I was always running from a church to a synagogue to a temple to sing or play seasonal favourites with a choir or quartet or a trio. Over the years it was a big treat to hear that Christmas music.
A good way to entertain carolers is by letting them sing & after they sing a few songs open up the door & hold up a sign that says I’m Deaf.
On the rare occasions it happens, yes! Used to see and do this all the time when we lived on the base.

They're not common where I live. I can't say I've ever seen them around here.
Which is sad, the concept of it seems nice, people going around door to door singing, but I guess people aren't comfortable or feel safe doing that nowadays.Yes, i receive the Carolers with red wine for the adults and hot Cocoa for the kids.
Random people showing up in groups at strangers houses are likely to get shot most places in NY.
I’d rather know there were carolers in a town square or something and be able to go to them instead.
That has never happened and probably never going to happen. It's not a tradition here.
Nah, that sort of thing doesn’t happen round here lol
Very sadly they haven't been doing the rounds for the past 3 - 4 years.
I did this when my kids were small, I found it fun
Usually carol with my church each year, we go around to all the shut ins and nursing homes and sing about 7 carols at each place.
