The marketing advertising began well before Thanksgiving, so we were tired of that before Christmas. However, from a religious standpoint Christmas is not over. The song The Twelve Days Of Christmas is based on Christian celebration, which after all is what Christmas is about. The 12 days of Christmas, in fact, are the days from Dec. 25, celebrated as the birth of Jesus Christ, to the Epiphany, celebrated on Jan. 6 as the day when the manifestation of Christ's glory was realized.
Marketing makes it seem to go on forever, then suddenly disappear after the 25th. But the Christian Church is now celebrating until January 6th.

I was okay with not celebrating Christmas this year, not only because our family got sick, but also because that was less than 5 days after I returned from a one week vacation to Mexico. We don't know how we got sick but I believe it's when the security staff were patting me down at the security check point at the airport cause she touched my body in multiple places and I usually avoid physical contact with others, even people in my family. I get annoyed with my mom when taps me on the shoulder saying she might infect me with a virus so nobody ever touches me, other than security guards who want to make sure you don't have any weapons on you before they let you cross the building.

No, actually I am still enjoying Christmas in the company of my family at my parents' place and will not be returning home till January 2nd.
Thus, for me, Christmas holidays are still going on and I am enjoying every single minute with those that I care and love.
What I don't mind actually is that the mercantile part of Christmas is over and that the crowds in shops and the streets are back to more acceptable levels. I find it always a big burden to go do food shopping in overcrowded stores just because people have the feeling that they need to shop more presents.
For me, the spirit of Christmas does not lie in the number of presents but in quality time spent with the loved ones.

Yes definitely. Every year it goes by faster. Faster this time because I had to help my mother clean house, buy presents, etc. And she’s 86 I’m so glad that she’s around since I lost my dad the day after my birthday (5/23/2005). Even though it was extremely exhausting - it was an honor to help her. I love you mom ❤️❤️
