My boyfriend and I have been talking about taking the next step once we're both financially ready to buy our first home together, once I finish school, etc... my boyfriend knows that I love him but I honestly want to propose to him, to show that I don't care that he has a disability and I just have this whole speech that I want to tell him, but since I'm always seeing men propose I just hope it doesn't seem weird or make him uncomfortable
I think it would depend on the guy, some guys would love it while some might not be okay with it. I worked with a girl who had been with her partner almost 3 years at the time and she put a ring on lay-by as she wanted to propose to him but she didn't go through with proposing to him, as she found out he was not a fan of girls proposing to guys. Fast forward a few years and after they travelled Canada and America, he surprised her by proposing to her and now they in the middle of planning their wedding for next year.
I wouldn't mind it personally. I think its sweet for you to propose to him since he as a disability he might feel weird or awkward to do it or be scared or think he doesn't know how. But every guy is different, I can't promise how he would be without knowing him.
