Mother's Day, Boyfriend's Mom?

My boyfriend and I have been going steady for about a year and 5 months now.

I live with his family and we get along fine.

I want to get his mom a gift for Mother's Day, but I have NO idea what to get her!

Does anyone care to help me out here?

A little bit about her:

*She loves candles, gardening, tea, nice-smelling soap. . .

*She like to be all-natural, green, recycle. . .

*She likes handmade things.

*She isn't much to fuss with looks. Doesn't wear makeup. But cares for her feet a lot and hair.

*Also, she cleans a lot and spends more time on everyone else before herself.

First rule: don't forget to congratulate your own mother.

Second and main rule: whatever you gift for his mother, it must be no greater then his gift. Maybe you will get some + from his mother, but you will ruin your relationship with your boyfriend.

And now, couple of advises:

1. Flowers. It's necessary.

2. If she likes candles - buy some. But it must be some unusual candles. F.e. maybe very big, or with some signs on it. Search for candles which smells (don't forget to ask, which smells she likes).

2. She likes gardening - seeds of some rear flowers, or yearly subscription for magazine "Garden and I" (it's the name of a magazine in my country).

3. She likes hand made things - make her a candle. Or couple of candles. Of course, you should search the internet on how to make it (lot's of info on google and youtube). Be aware, that in making so, you are in risk that your gift would be greater than your boyfriends. Invite him to make candles together!

(https://www.etsy.com/shop/bouquetsbyselena) The benefit: they never die, they're aesthetically beautiful, they're cheaper than professional flowers, they're eco-friendly, and they support an independent entrepreneur. I HIGHLY recommend them. (If you order them now they might get there on time-- I haven't actually heard from the shop owner as to whether or not they've been made/shipped, but I think she's going to work to get most orders shipped by mother's day.)

Get her relaxing things. I'm a mom and I would be happy to get some bath salts, bubble bath, bath pillow, candles. Decorate a nice basket and fill it with that sort of thing. Maybe a gift card to a book store or something.
