My mom is a good mom but she has a tendency to be over dramatic. I’m 19 and have 2 jobs and love going to see my boyfriend and I’m home for the summer from college. I am currently working on getting my license but tbh I am scared. My mom drives me to work and stuff like that and I always tell her thank you. She’s been going on rants lately about how she dosent feel appreciated. Her and my dad are separated and for Mother’s Day my sister and I got together and got her some of her favorite things. She started ranting about how we could have taken her to breakfast but didn’t even ask and how she lost her mom ( my grandma ) last year, which was very emotional for me too, and how she gave her her flowers when her was alive. She has been talking lately about how I don’t give her gas money and I should because she’s taking me to all these places. I agree but I told her it would have to wait because I have to pay off my credit card bill and I currently have no money. My mom was saying I had no consideration for her and needed to pay her gas before my credit card bill. It’s annoying and I’m tired of hearing about it every two seconds. She said she always feels unappreciated but I tell her thank you and I don’t know what to do. I can’t afford gas or anything right now because I’m waiting on my paychecks. What should I do? Is she overreacting?

She sounds incredibley selfish tbh. You're not obligated to do shit for her on mother's day, her behavior screams entitlement.
If I were you, I'd prioritize getting my license and moving out.
She likely pushed her husband away causing the separation.

This question gets me depressed because it reminds me that I didn't have a girlfriend at all in my teens and beginning of my 20s, I get depressed and bitter or have resentment towards couples in that age bracket

It's your fault that you are an adult and have to rely on and take advantage of someone for their free services.
Sounds like it's just about time to move out.
