Introduction:
It feels nice thinking and feeling we have people in our corner who will always be there to help us when we need it.
The dependent factor brings comfort and peace and makes us feel secure help is available.
In this Mytake, I hope to share why you shouldn't be trusting, relying and being dependent on someone to look out for you and the serious dangers it poses if you do.
Inherently Selfish.
Humans are naturally born selfish, infants don't care if you have to go to sleep to wake up for work, they will cry and disrupt your sleep in the middle of the night, cry when they need to be fed etc.
Obviously infants don't know any better but the point is as humans grow up their selfishness just grows with them.
Humans are often motivated by their fragile egos, envy, insecurities and selfish interests to what benefits them even at the expense of others.
Relying on such specie with such distasteful traits as those above only puts you in a big disadvantage.
Humans often think or feel if they don't get nothing out of it that would make them richer, look good publicly or inflate their ego then why do it especially for someone else?
Fickle Nature.
You just never know in what mood someone is going to wake up in or how the rest of their week is going to look like and how they are going to react to certain situations in life.
One day they can be happy and loving, by evening they are angry, needy and feel lonely, by morning they feel confused and depressed.
You just truly never know the human condition and someone's mentality and how quick they can change their perspectives and desires about life or something.
You Will Regret.
I'm a Christian and, I 100% believe the Bible.
God through His Holy Spirit speaking and influencing His Holy prophets to write down the dangers of trusting and depending on others brings.
God declares its a literal curse you will bring upon your life. Guaranteed.
Humans are fragile, are easily susceptible to mood swings, serious illnesses, rapid death, loss of job, loss of income and all kinds of ills.
In writing all this, I don't want to come across as if all humans are horrible and would turn their backs on you but rather that you learn not to fully depend or trust in someone as if they are God.
No one can take better care than you than yourself!
You have to be your own hero and get things done yourself.
You have to make and have your own money, your own good credit, your own space to live and your own food and shelter to provide because you certainly don't want to be caught up fully depending and trusting on someone to look out for you especially once you become an adult as that can and most likely will be used against you.
I will leave you with some Bible knowledge and Proverbs for you to take heed.
I learned my lessons the hard way. Its your choice to either learn the easy way or the hard way.
Jeremiah 17:5-6
Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD.
For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited.
Jeremiah 17:9-10
“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?
