That is true, typically. However, in my opinion, Gods are just as fictional as cartoon characters. Thus, what makes a fictional character from 2000+ years ago any more powerful than a fictional character just being written today?
You would be surprised my good friend just how widespread Anime is. I think Goku wins the delegates in Europe. Egypt... that's really a red state. India will be a battle ground state. I know Shiva has polled well there historically. However, the people are demanding change and Goku really does speak well to the issues.

Zeus is badass.
Son Goku
What god is that?
Super Saiyan God!
Never heard of him...
He's just as real as all the rest. I even have video evidence that is on par with the Torah, Koran, or Bible.

Cartoon characters are not a part of the mythology ;)
They will be. I'm just ahead of the curve.
Plus, where was it in the rules that said God had to be mythological?
Lol, but gods are traditionally a part of some mythology...

I guess the tradition, historical influence and the number of believers :P
I bet more men between ages 10-30 know Goku and find him more inspirational than Shiba, Anubis, or Perun.
Maybe in Japan and the USA, but in Europe, India and Egypt, most people know about Perun, Anubis and Shiva.

Nevertheless, lots of kids prefer western type of cartoons, not anime.
I think you are missing out on just how popular this franchise is. It's crossed over like Transformers did in the 80's.
Transformers were never popular in my country, our favorite cartoon was He-Man ;)
I'm watching He-Man right now, lol
Jesus of course
Lol, ok, how would he fight agains big, muscular guy like Thor?
He'll call God to handle it lol
Well, Thor can call Odin to handle it ;)
Jesus and God will win together 😜
You think? How? :P
the god of death.
Hades perhaps?
Hades wouldn't stand a fucking chance against the morrigan

Doge god backwards is still doge god :O
@dangerDoge whoa. 2006 caravan.
Definitely me.
Jesus
You think? How would he win?
Cause he'll bring peace and no fight
Like if the others would listen to peace :P
They would listen to Jesus cause he got charisma ;)
That charisma didn't prevent Romans to crucify him, so why would it work on the other gods? :P
Cause the other gods are smarter than the other people
Sure, but they are also more powerful ;)
Was Jesus God?
According to christians - yes.
