Do you get white lips from salt and vinegar crisps/chips?

Mine do, and I thought everybody did because mine always have but my friend said it was really weird today when she saw mine go white.
It just stays like that for a little while and kinda tingles. Especially pringles.

I used to get this all the time. More so when I was younger but it hasn’t happened for quite some time now as I don’t eat crisps much anymore. It could be a histamine reaction as vinegar is a histamine food and can trigger a histamine type reaction. Once when I put way too much vinegar on my food my face started to burn all over and we had to call the doctor. It only ever happened that once but this whitening of the lips is unusual but there are others who suffer with it. Could be related to the acidity if not histamines but it’s never caused me any major issues.

i'm also getting a white tongue and lips but i don't know what it is. Its been happening to me everytime i eat salt and vinegar chips.

I doubt it, salt and vinegar is my fave and I eat it often. I have no effects from it other than the white lips.
That's so weird, all these years I thought everybody in the world had their lips go white with it haha. Shame.

Nope! Salt and vinegar are my favourite too but never had this happen.
Does it happen if you have salt and vinegar on say chips?

Yea if I put a lot on, but not as much. Not always either, just sometimes. Crisps is the main culprit.

Crisps are quite concentrated.

Personally I think you are mildly allergic to vinegar. To know for sure, try rubbing some pure vinegar on your lip and see what happens. It sounds like it doesn't harm you too much but it's worth knowing!!
