I wasn't ugly in high school. I didn't realize until it was a little too late but thinking back at the behavior of some guys, a male teacher and the hate I received from other girls I opened my eyes.
What I mean by I wasn't ugly in high school is that I was physically attractive, I could have been 'popular' (though that term is not used in urban schools). I just didn't have the right clothes, my mother was shitty and caused self esteem issues, I didn't have a boyfriend, only one guy i actually found attractive tried to talk to me. Girls could not stand me and i didn't know why because it wasn't like guys were falling all over me, except my guy friends. Then I realized some of the guys the girls liked, thought I was cute which made them mad. Along with other girls just not liking me.
The way I wanted to dress, wasn't allowed either. I do more to my hair now and I don't straighten it as often as I used to. I also dress how I've wanted which is more revealing. With bodycon skirts, dresses, crop tops, booty shorts, etc. I get a LOT more attention.
