This is what I love and I thank gag for is for me to look at myself and did all my questions I answer and understand just because I don't see eye-to-eye with somebody doesn't mean that they are not right or I'm not right
It's about the respect that I have for myself and others when that moment happens
I love this question because I thought about it many times
There are many many good people here there are some real assholes here.
And I wouldn't change a thing because without either one of them I would not be able to look at myself and choose who I want to be so I I think everybody here believe me there's a bigger reason that we're all here and what we think

See, this is where our paths diverge. I believe we can all interpret facts in our own ways. You and I can view the same event happening in front of us and have conflicting eyewitness reports based on everything from angle, biological differences, to personal experiences outside the event.

When I post statistics my point isn't always to show you are wrong, it is to show you there is another way of analyzing it. This is why I engage in debates with people on this app in a civil manner for the most part. There are a lot of different views that I haven't even taken into consideration when forming my opinion.

It isn't a great idea to sit in an echo chamber of ideals similar to your own nor is it useful to enter a conversation with an unmalleable position. I usually enter with, "these are my thoughts, make your thoughts make more sense to me than my own."

A lot of people don't have the same values when talking about their views like you, but it makes me clueless why Americans want to destroy their country for so called social justice. I believe social justice is the modern term for envy which is among the deadly sins, I consider myself a sinner too since I'm envious of your country's freedom. I know that you have different views as compared to the general American left winger but to me disarming citizens, defunding the police, inciting self hatred and not respecting the veterans that served for the country seems rather tyrannical and self destructive for the economy and the welfare of the people.

Well I definitely don't disrespect veterans. My family has a lot of military background and I am also in a large military city. Lots of respect there.

Defund the police, if I am understanding it correctly, isn't about getting rid of officers really. It's more about taking away some of the bloated budget that allows them to buy full on military equipment and use some of that on social services people so that we have counselors responding to some events and not a person armed with a gun and no experience in dealing with domestic violence, etc.

Every police force should be militaristic and I will quote one of my favourite content creators 'donut operator' on this since the lives of unarmed and untrained social workers would be in jeopardy if there was a case like this one. Where in New York in the Bronx neighborhood the police were ambushed in a domestic violence call and shot at 40 times. I can't share the link since the video is age restricted. I support background checks though since guns shouldn't be in the hands of thugs but in the hands of law abiding citizens and patriots. I also do have military background.

Obviously the social workers would be trained it is just that they have more experience with counseling than an officer would. Having every police force be militaristic sounds very dystopian though.

If law is broken then it needs to be enforced at once. I would consider my country to be the most liberal/democratic socialist in the world and yet we have police arrive bearing mp5 when we have a bombing or a distress call (in America they only carry a Glock 19 and a Remington unless they know it could be a heavy firefight) which is basically everyday now after the migrant influx. In that case I mentioned the woman was beside the police officers and they threw her out of the door then at once the suspect shot one of them in the thigh and in retaliation the fallen deputy shot him in the head thereby ending him on the spot. A lot of cases have little to no interaction with the suspect just straight up combat, I've been reviewing every single popular recent law enforcement interaction and every single mass shooting in America since columbine and trying to analyse them and would definitely say the cops have always been professional and did the right thing.
