What opinions would your past self have about present you?

Question

It can be any age and on any/many topic (s). For instance, younger me (around ages 11-17) probably wouldn't understand my stance on dating & marriage. Although he'd admire my knowledge on the subject, he'd probably still have a negative opinion about me purposefully not wanting to pursue & court anyone. I might not like how I look because my younger self thought that anybody who wasn’t anorexic was too fat and I might also not like my behaviour because I’ve very easy going and laid back and not competitive and my old self wanted to prove I was better than everybody and I might be disgusted that I no longer care about reputation or that the guy I like is disabled cause my old self wanted money and status and judged people by purely superficial qualities.

Difficult to say... I think younger me would definitely be disheartened to realize that almost nothing that interested me back then is even on my radar, or in some cases I outright despise today. Young me would also probably be disheartened to see that I still haven't gotten married yet, either.

I'm thinking if we go back to like 14, he'd think I'm either a douche or pretty cool. It's gonna be like he despises me or wants to be my apprentice. I'm not sure which. But I figure it's gonna be one of those two extremes.

A few years ago I wouldn’t understand nor probably accept my current stance on just about everything. I particularly wouldn’t understand my stance on religion. I used to be a christian. Then I decided to step away from religion but still believe in god. Now I’m an atheist 🤷🏾‍♂️. It’s not that I’m against their being a god. It’s just that I have no proof and I’ve given up looking for it.

Early 20s and pre-parent me, would tell me to be a little bit more patient and retain the happiness that is inside me. After all, nobody likes being around a Mr. grumpy pants!
