Why a girl would like to have a conversation with you, asking about your weekend but when you ask her she always says nothing much?

A girl ask me how was my weekend and I told her what I did over the weekend. But when I ask about her weekend she always replies that she does nothing much. Clearly she does not want a conversation or talk to me, then why ask about my weekend. She talks with her guy and girl friends she talks and tells them about her weekend

It boils down to intent. What is your intent and what is her intent? She may be asking out of friendliness and you may not. She may be looking for something else, and you aren't. However, I think that she is trying to get involved on a sexual level and trying to gauge if you have an interest in other women. And when you asked back, she didn't know how to respond because she wants to make out she doesn't have much interest. That is what I am gathering. It's not that she wants you to not know, she is trying to gauge your interests so you can consider her as somebody to date and is hoping you would do so. The more mysterious she appears, she thinks you will gain interest in her and she is not being honest about it.
