Have you ever given up a hobby or interest after several years, whether due to a loss of interest or life circumstances that prevented you from participating in them any longer?

I am leaving behind a hobby I've participated in for over 20 years (it's something much of my family has always been interested in, and I was introduced at such a young age that I don't really remember a time it wasn't a part of my life), and although I feel it's time because I've lost interest and feel overwhelmed with trying to juggle it with my adult responsibilities and expenses, I still feel a bit sad about it and like I don't really know what to do to replace it with, since I've never been a person with many different interests and hobbies. I've been very devoted to this for years, but continuing it at this time in my life is simply not an option, plus I'm so burned out I really need a break and if I'm being honest, have needed this break for years.

In your situation, how did you feel about it, and what did you end up doing? How did you find new hobbies and interests?

honestly with me it was song writing. I wrote over 100+ songs so many i completely lost count at this point. i was writing since 2004 maybe mid 2003. i still do on occassion but not as much as i used to. i tried replacing it with cooking, drawing but with drawing i hit a ceiling or a limit because of two reasons 1. my arthritis in my hands and it takes a long time to do one sketch and 2. i can't do skin tones or skin colors that's my ackilies heel my one weakness in sketching are skin tones skin color. i took up photography. it's hard but fun and the photos i take and after post production i become proud of.
can i ask you something? have you thought about maybe opening up a business in your field become a manager or team up with your current manager or start your own studio or production company? maybe work behind the scenes for a while? there's no need to fully 100% give up something but maybe take a completely different route in your career. say for example you chose not to sing and just decided to write music or produce it or manage singers you'll still be in the field but in a different aspect of it.
how about this. do you like designing clothes or mugs or various items? make a list and find out what hobbies you like then make a career out of it if you chose not to keep up your current profession.
as long as you got the love and support from your family friends and loved ones that's what should be most important to you. good luck on whatever decision you decide to make

you could also make a list of what you're passionate about. are you passionate about promoting mental health? passionate about cbd type marijuana? are you passionate about martial arts? explore different options and see what interests you. question for you. have you thought about becoming a private teacher in your field? or some kind of counselor or guidence or mentor in your field?

i'm just trying to think of all the possibilities that you could try to pursue.

for me i've also made song beats i've built computers i've worked on cars limitedly like change tires and batteries nothing major though. i used to take up an interest in building motorcycles and choppers even though i can't ride them without crashing them.
it's all a matter of what you find interesting

have you thought about producing tv shows or more tv shows? or producing movies or more movies? or maybe be a talent scout find new talent and work with the new talent and coach them? or work behind the scenes in the music industry opening up your own record label and managing new talent

Yes. For me, I've been an avid follower of a particular sports league - the growing National Lacrosse League. I've been a fan since I discovered the league in 1999 and saw my first game in 2000. I am still a fan, but some significant events occurred that left a bitter taste in my mouth that led to a permanent shift down in my passion for the sport. Now, I no longer live near a city where a team is AND I have too much other things to do with my time, energy, and money. For instance, I spend less time on the NLL and, really, G@G has primarily replaced it.
