+1 yNot usually, but I am afraid of them in massive swarms. This one time was driving in Wyoming and saw this dust cloud coming up and I was pretty young learning to drive still and my mom was with me and said don't slow down those are mosquitos... we had to close all the vents and drove into a cloud of them... was very afraid if they got in the car or if we broke down.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/Yy3dQJYquoY
Later when cleaning it, must of had a million on the car as the wipers couldn't wash them away very good.
Another time was in Central Utah when the road turned black with the Mormon Crickets, could not even see the pavement, and I could hear the squishy crunching sound as driving down the road and the guts flipping up into the wheel well. The swarm in this is a lot lighter than what I drove through.Last summer they were in the mountains, cannibalizing's each other as the drought caused them to move to higher elevations. I got bit by a couple of them while riding my ATV through a few smaller swarms like what is in this recording.

+1 yI think just those creepy millipedes or centipedes.
I grew up grabbing bugs with my bare hands so I’m used to a lot of them… But something about those damn long, million legged mother fuckers makes me sick to my stomach.

@Still-alive Lol I'm fine. 😅
+1 yPhasmids for some reason. Like you put me in a room with other people and I'll hold one and pet one and actually think it's not so bad, and I've done that.
But I also have this other side when I remember when I was a boy and I picked up a stick on the ground to do stick fighting only to find it moved and was alive, and that was a sort of trauma to me.
It's like one of those functional traumas where you put me in a room with Phasmid and I know it's alive and it's not a big deal. They don't even bite or anything. They're like the most harmless insect just trying to blend in and chill. But I got the trauma that I picked up a dead stick and it came alive when I was a kid with what I thought were branches that turned out to be legs wriggling around.21 Reply- +1 y
They are probably more afraid of you than you are of them
1.9K opinions shared on Other topic. Summer time I go undethouses to either fix waterline or replace them and there's always spiders underneath there. I mean I'm good until a spider web touches my face and then either pick up the pace or I'd get back out take a breath and go back in Winter times just as bad kind of because it's ice cold and if they broke a water line that means I'm going to get soaking wet the spiders are usually in the house not under the house but I have seen then before just kind of got a sec yourself up go for it

2.8K opinions shared on Other topic. Not so much. I just don't want them on me and I don't want them in the house.
I'm more creeped out by spiders. I freak out if one gets on me. Aside from that, I'm not actually afraid of them. When I find one in my house, I almost always catch it and put it outside.
There is only one variety of scorpion in our region, and they are small. Their sting is nothing more that a bee sting. I catch those, too, and put them outside when one gets in the house, which is rare.
I love bees. I've even made peace with wasps (except for yellow jackets). We've had paper wasps and mud wasps build under the eves of our house and they they mind their own business.
Praying mantises are interesting. I've let them walk on my hand and arm before.
I'm sure there are insects in other parts of the world that would freak me out, but we don't have many big or nasty ones, here.10 Reply- 2.4K opinions shared on Other topic.

As of the moment NO but if one day they grow bigger & bigger & are the size of a house maybe.

That looks prepared for anything.
I'm not really scared but I don't like insects which are small like ants. When I see a group of ants then it feels like they are crawling on me. I'm scared badly from from snakes only. I am not really scared of insects not even poisonous ones. I just stay far from them. I see many people here are scared of spiders. I'm the type of girl who is like Hazen Audel who catches are plays with any spider he sees in his path way lol. I try to like pet the insects if they aren't poisonous once.

+1 yI’ve had a 🐝 in my helmet a couple times, and several more close calls. One yesterday while in a drive through and no way to “blow it out.” Took a breath “mind over matter” and stayed calm. It was sluggish on a cool day, just resting. We ended up bonding.

Miller moths gross me out, because I used to rid a moped to save on gas, and going through a swarm them at forty miles an hour left me covers in dust and guys. Sometimes at work I would be standing in front of a fan and a Millar would fly behind and get sucked in and cover my face with goo😝
+1 yI'm easily freaked out by bedbugs and giant centipedes, which are poisonous in Hawaii.
28 Reply- +1 y
@Cherry234 you see more of them in the upper elevations within the kahookoos and the big island. Just check your boots and sleeping bags before and after sleeping camping out. Their attracted to heat like snakes are, especially with them being the same size as the mature.
- +1 y
@Citizenkirk Ok thanks. I don't go camping anyway so I should be alright.
- +1 y
@Cherry234 that's good, but they are aggressive and seek out damp, dark, places like hats and clothing so watch where you sit or lie down.
- +1 y
@Citizenkirk Ok thanks for the tips.

I saw a pretty good sized centipede in Maui

@whosnumber1 The bigger they are, the more toxic their venom is.
