Groin attacks are considered "Distracting Strikes" in Martial Arts Street Self Defense training, and should not be relied upon for any sort of finisher.
It's true getting kicked or grabbed in the balls would hurt, but once the man's adrenaline starts pumping, the woman better know something permanently disabling, such as a throat punch or a palm-heel to the nose, rather than relying on sophomoric groin attacks.
A punch to the front of the throat or an upward palm-heel at a 45 degrees angle to the nose are ideal for street self defense. If you crush his throat or break his nose, he's fucked on the spot, adrenaline or no adrenaline. If you kick him in the groin, that might give you 2 to 5 seconds to run away, but honestly when adrenaline hits he's just going to be PISSED OFF and punch and kick twice as hard afterward.20 Reply

more strength, more muscle mass, better endurance, etc.
also groin attacks while they do hurt they aren’t fight finishers guys can power through them especially when take into account adrenaline. And they are only going to momentarily stun you. I say this as someone who’s a trained fighter and as someone who’s been kicked in the groin during fights.
Also I fought a girl once who was the same weight class as me I punched her in the gut while holding back and still knocked her out cold in one hit.
i also fought another one in a tournament around the same weigh Class as me and the best way I could describe how her hits felt is mosquito bites. And she was better trained then me she got more hits in. But every hit I gave her hurt a lot including a kick to the neck which would have been a fight finisher in your scenario.115 Reply- +1 y
my little sister was harassed by a senior in high school while she was a freshman about 100 pounds. He was an offensive lineman on the football team. She told him not to touch her again, and he touched her. She punched him ONE time full force and knocked him to the ground, and he CRIED.
She was a no-stripe purple belt in Isshinryu Karate at the time. Again, he was an offensive lineman on the football team and more than twice her body weight.
If the woman knows how to throw a professional strength punch, she can beat the man, unless he's also a professional fighter. - +1 y
I sparred my sensei's wife three times when I was 18 to 20 years old, once at each Brown Belt degree promotion. She was a 3rd degree black belt and 135 pounds and around 29 years old at the time. I was 165 pounds and the best student in the dojo. She beat me hands down all three times. I could barely even manage to hit her, because she was so fast, and she had power. She circuit trained about 30 hours per week all together.

@Wade12345 If the woman knows how to throw a professional strength punch, she can beat the man, unless he's also a professional fighter.
That's a stretch dude and it sounds like the guy just had a glass jaw and she by no means took him out of the fight. It just sounds like she maybe broke his nose and yeah the guy probably a crybaby but she didn't take him out of the fight by any means.
Well of course she beat you she was the more skilled fighter and a black belt.
But that has nothing to do with the situation you've created above, its in your own words an average man vs an average woman. They're not professional fighters they are the average joe and jane you see walking down the street.
So again I would give it to the man we have inherit biological advantages over women in virtually single category when it comes raw power and strength, the physical. And that's just without weight lifting or any sort of training.
You can try and deny reality and biology if you want to but the facts make it pretty clear. - +1 y
@Wade12345 If the girl is trained enough, we should assume that the guy is too. That is the assumptuon in my question.

Phoenix:
When I was a freshman in high school, there wasa fight between two girls. One of the male teachers jumped in and tried to break up the fight, and one of the girls turned against the teacher and punched him square on the cheek, and it knocked him out cold. One hit. He was the Phys ed teacher and in great shape, but admittedly he did have sort of high cheek bones for a man, so he might have been vulnerable to it. - +1 y
It doesn’t make as big of a difference as you’d think. I’ve been kicked in the groin before during a fight with no cup by a guy twice my size and I was able to fight through the pain and keep going.
Another thing to take note on is that because it’s such a glaring weakness and that most women tend to strike there first. It makes a lot of guys anticipate it. - +1 y
@Wade12345 tales from the basement. nobody cries from a nutshot especially from a puny girl
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yIf a girl gets kicked or struck in the groin, it’s game over for her too. Plus there’s the chest to consider. We have two weak spots to your one, and that’s not even getting into the differences in strength, speed, size, etc. I consider myself pretty strong but come on, be realistic.

But guy gets more damage than girl when both get attacked in the groin.
Opinion Owner+1 yI mean a girl might recover faster than a guy, but it only takes one hit to the groin to drop a girl so what difference does it make? The fight is still over. And that doesn’t even begin to account for the other advantages I listed going in the guy’s favor.
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yI practice judo. We sometimes practice with guys and boys, in self defence scenarios. Even the novice boys going through puberty are able to overpower us women even black belts. I've seem a female European champion black belt beaten by a novice white belt boy.

Opinion Owner+1 yYes for both men and women. An Instructor of mine years ago, black belt. One of the best in our dojo got attacked years ago, she got her jaw broke by a guy. All she was able to do was protect herself
Opinion Owner+1 yIn the street. No weapons. Punched and kicked on the ground. All she could do was try to cover up and protect herself, until somebody could help or she could escape. Some guys pulled the guy off her.
Opinion Owner+1 yThe judo helped her. Would have been a lot worse

That's becaue Judo is honestly strength on strength. In order to beat a man in a fight, a woman needs A+ striking. You need Isshinryu Karate. We've had at least one Isshinryu blue belt woman defend herself against TWO adult male attackers in a gang rape situation and not only win the fight, but seriously injure her male attackers. But that is admittedly very rare.
You can't expect to beat a man twice your size using Judo. - +1 y
What a woman needs to master to defend herself against a male attacker.
Good fitness and cardio.
All 15 basic kicks and 11 hand strikes
Seisan Kata and bunkai
Sanchin Kata and bunkai
Form Sword of destruction
Form Five Swords
With this, the man is caught off guard by the fact the woman can FIGHT, and he gets seriously hurt before he realizes he should have picked an easier prey to attack.
It takes about 9 months 3 two- hours classes per week to train a woman to this skill level, but I would recommend full cardio kickboxing classes in addition to traditional karate classes. - +1 y
Anyway, the basic strategy for winning a multi-attack scenario is to get a wrist lock or side arm control on the first attacker and kick his guts out while you keep his body between yourself and the second attacker.
Anyway, you need full contact sparring, not point sparring. Point sparring is a sport. Full contact sparring teaches street self defense. Most instructors don't even teach full contact sparring anymore, unless you find a professional MMA gym or one of the few Isshinryu dojos that still exist. - +1 y
@Wade12345 If both guy and girl are trained enough, then will attack to sensitive areas such as balls be important in determining the winner?

When a woman defends herself against a man, she needs to immediately elevate to "Instantaneous Destructive Force". If she is out-numbered, she needs to elevate to instantaneous lethal force immediately.
Five Swords:
The most common "first strike' in a street fight is either a right overhand haymaker or a right hook.
You, the defender, step into the hook punch and double chop block the hook punch.
1) Left hand chop blocks the right forearm, right hand chop blocks the right biceps. Hit like you mean it, like you're trying to rip the attacker's arm off, because that's exactly what you're trying to do.
2) Then right hand hammer fist the original attacker in the jaw, left hand can either palmheel to the nose or jaw, hammerfist the jaw, or karate chop the neck.
3) Next right hand uppercuts to the left side of the body, under the floater rib.
4) Finally left hand hammerfist to opponent's left temple, followed by right hammerfist to left temple.
This will finish off most attackers, or at least let them know you know how to fight and run away.
Sword of Destruction:
The overhand haymaker is the opponent's first attack. You high angle block the haymaker with your left hand, and then run your right arm under the attacker's right arm and grab your own fist. Now you have the opponent in a Hammer Lock, and can take him down and rip his arm out of socket if he doesn't go down. If he resists, of if you miss the opportunity, apply a throat punch with the right hand and continue fighting. - +1 y
Instantaneous Destructive Force examples:
Break Nose
Throat Punch
Eye Gouge
Biting
Forward Angle Kick or Cross-Heel Stomp Kick to the side of the knee, breaking the knee.
Instantaneous Lethal Force
Karate chop to the neck or throat
neck breaker/reverse guillotine
How to apply neck breaker to your first attacker in a multiple attacker scenario. This is a lethal maneuver and should only be used in a life or death or gang rape scenario.
Attacker throws their first punch (right handed). You inside windmill block and pass their standing guard.
Windmill block means your left hand blocks inwardly, and your right hand comes under and outside circle blocks. You want your right hand to grab your opponent's right wrist and go to side arm control as your left arm reverse elbows the original attacker in the throat. Then you wrap your left arm around their neck and under the back of their neck. Torque down and back with your shoulder and elbow as you torque upward and forward with your left hand. Snap. Dead. Throw their body into the other attacker and try to run away if possible, or stand and fight.
It's critical that you absolutely destroy your first attacker in order to have any chance against a second attacker. - +1 y
@Wade12345 If it does matter, then if both are skilled, do you think there is high possibility that girl will win despite physical differences?

Seisan is the blue belt kata.
Sanchin is the orange belt kata
H-pattern is the yellow belt kata.
Sword of Destruction and 8 or 10 variations of Five Swords are taught to white belts, because we want them to have the "muscle memory" by the time they are blue belts. An Isshinryu blue belt should be able to win any street fight against an "unskilled attacker".
With Five Swords, just remember "Every block can be a strike, and every strike can be a block," and you should do good.
Belt ranks are:
white
yellow
orange
blue
light green
dark green
purple
1st through 3rd degree brown
10 black belt ranks - +1 y
It depends how hard she really trains and how consistently. Like she needs 3 hours cardio kickboxing and 6 hours traditional karate every week She can't just show up once per week and go through the motions.
Women are smaller, but their max striking and dodging speed is higher, because they are smaller, so a skilled woman can land strikes without getting hit in return. - +1 y
When I was a light green belt, I beat the local boxing champion by boxing rules.
Around that same time, one of my Sensei's female first degree black belts beat me in full contact sparring. I threw a roundhouse kick at her and it was too slow, and she caught it out of the air. Then I didn't yet know the correct thing to do. I tried doing a jump kick with the other leg, a nd she blocked that and applied the figure 4 ankle lock to my right leg, and then turned it into tthe reverse figure 4 ankle lock, and I was forced to tap out.
Later, by the time I was a first degree brown belt, I could beat her in a sparring match, and by th etime I was a 3rd degree brown belt I could beat two second degree black belts in a handicap match because I was traiinng full time twice as hard as them. The only reason I didn't get my black belt is I never could memorize the last kata and bunkai for black belt. - +1 y
This is the dark green belt kata. This is also a multi-attack drill, but it uses Naihanchi stance "horse stance". There's some debate about where this Kata comes from. It may come from China instead of Okinawa.

@Whitemane
My point was, this was a small, average everyday man not even going all that hard against everyday women, some of which outweighed him or were taller than him. If he was seriously trying to kill them, they'd stand no chance in Hell. Even trained women who are experts in boxing can barely manage to beat six foot tall, 200 pound men with zero training.
I had another video that as well, but the narrator was even more annoying, going off about "Girl Power" when they were professional female boxers and MMA fighters going against untrained everyday men and only BARELY won against them, like it was some great triumph against an equally experienced opponent.
+1 yI’ve been hit in the balls hard before… when I get pissed I can shrug that off like a paper cut… and if I’m trying to kill you you done fucked up and I’m pissed.
Also remember women can be kicked in the crotch as well… also remember their tits are a liability. But regardless with rage you can power through pain.10 Reply
+1 yGiven the conditions listed, it really depends.
If the girl has more martial arts knowledge and skills than the guy, she would more than likely win.
If they both have around the same skill in martial arts, slight edge to the man.
If neither knows martial arts or the guy is more advanced, the guy is more likely to win.
Luck would play a role as well. Also which one is smarter and can take advantage of the situation better.02 Reply- +1 y
@Whitemane pretty much. If 2 people with no fighting experience meet, they are on the same skill level and need something to break the tie. Same with 2 equally skilled martial artists. If your skills are even, then you need something else to break the tie. Whenever skill fails humans, they resort to their instincts. Combat comes more instinctively to men.
1K opinions shared on Other topic. Honestly this depends on a lot of things. What's average in this situation. A lot of guys on average are pretty good fighters in general. Women not really, while yes most guys would be in a lot of pain when hit in the nuts, we can push threw it if needed

+1 yA woman's breasts are nearly as sensitive as a man's balls. They are more accessible too. So no advantage to girls. Men have %25 more muscle in their upper body than girls (Im not sure about the number but it was something around that). Men's biological duty is to fight which means they come packed up for it, so the guy would win

Attack to balls doesn't either. The adrenaline will help him

+1 yif they are both 100% determined to kill the other, i think both could win. fights like that are mostly luck (assuming equal fighting training). but of course being stronger and having a quicker reaction speed will give the man a huge edge. that doesn't mean he can't lose tho.
00 Reply Mortal fight really? Why in the first place is it supposed to happen?
I think you exaggerate a little on your analysis. The guy still have the advantage on it22 ReplyDepends on who's more game than the other really but why would you want to fight the opposite sex? Me being a lover etc etc!
