Are women more affectionate with each other than men because of society says is OK or because the male and female brain process affection differently?

And please spare me this @#$% about how women are secretly lesbians. I've heard guys who take that stance say things like I would never cuddle with male friends so girls do it because they're 'secretly lesbian'.

Yeah well you cuddle with your dog but that doesn't mean that you're into bestiality. If cuddling with friends of the same sex isn't your cup of tea, fine but don't say that someone who does is some kind of closeted homosexual.
