If so should all people with medical conditions get preferential treatment? What if it means an increased workload for all other employees?
Background that inspired this question. I've worked with a woman who wants a huge family. So for the last 7 years she has worked there she has been pregnant for about 6 of them.(She typically gets pregnant a month or two after giving birth). she's given a reduced workload with the rest of her work spread to the rest of us. Then when she gives birth we pick up all her work while out on maternity leave. We see no pay increase for the extra work and hours and she sees no pay decrease. It came to a head this week with multiple people going home sick in protest. I generally like her as a person and was sympathetic through the first few pregnancies but not so much anymore.
