Why does this guy who I guess can call my friend likes to often times randomly butt in into my conversations I find it annoying?

I was talking with a girl coworker out of nowhere he gets his butt into our conversation, I was like you being noisy and he kinda got offended when I said that but he will do it often especially when it involves me who ever I am talking with specifically with girl coworkers why is that?

Many men hold the patriarchal belief that as a man they are always welcome in any conversation, especially amongst women, and the expert in any topic, and are entitled to have their day whenever and wherever they like. It's total bs and toxic, but it's seen played out repeatedly in situations like this and others
