Have you ever had a crush on a coworker?

I did, back in 2018. He was a couple years younger than me, but very mature and a gentleman. I usually go for older guys, but he surprised me with his maturity. Shame we never got together, though. He was a nice guy.😊

I'm sure there's been times i've "assumed" I was being crushed on or I was crushing, but then other times and other jobs, I'd say nope it's all just in my head and not what I assume.
Hooray. Oh but I've seen many gorgeous single coworker women over time so far but I've never dated my coworkers. 👍

Yes, I had a mild crush a couple of times over 15-20 years.

WOW. That’s how long the crushes lasted? 15-20 years?

No 😂, I meant that over the last 15 -20 years I think I had a mild crush on a female colleague on 2 or 3 occasions. But I never acted on these.

Ohhh okay. I understand now. Why didn’t you act on them?

I mean 3 different female colleagues, the first was probably when I was 18, the next was at 23 and then at 27 or 28.

I didn't act on the first one because I honestly lacked confidence and experience at that time. The 2nd time she was 5 years older and she wanted husband material and I sensed that while she found me attractive physically, she wanted a guy her own age or older. The 3rd girl was older too, but she had exited a 10 year relationship and wasn't looking to date anyone.

Yeah. He was one of the EMTs on staff. Like I said, he was younger than me, but mature and I loved our chats at work. One day, as I drove to work, I got a flat tire. He was kind enough to change it for me. 😊

I'm not sure what an EMT is, I'm in Ireland, maybe different terminology elsewhere in the world. He sounds like a kind decent guy.

Oh. I’m sorry. A medic. Over here in the USA, we call them EMT, which stands for emergency medical technician.

Oh ok, I understand now, I don't work in the medical industry. So you never got together with this guy? Are you with anyone else since or single?

Unfortunately, I did not. He actually ended up leaving to pursue another career. I’m currently single.

Sorry to hear he left that role, that probably makes seeing him less likely now.

Yeah, it would be great to see him again. More than likely, he’s probably married by now.

How about your own dating life? Is marriage something you are interested in?

Oh yes. I would love to get married one day.

I liked a guy who was not my direct equal but interacted with me as part of his job. I hope to be his friend if we don’t become husband or wife one day and I considered hiring him as my parents personal support worker if their health gets worse.
